Yes.
He can’t look the knee into his face mask if he wants to avoid a penalty and fine.
He should appeal to have it reduced, but it’s not going completely away.

Huh? So you are telling me if he turns his head so not looking forward at his knee when he hits it, then no issue? Facinating.
He can appeal it and that is part of what the NFL expects. The easy way to think about fines is that they try to fine every penalty of a certain type, and then they try to find even more fines of things that were not penalized. So anytime there is a roughing or excessive roughness call it will almost always be attached to a fine later. The player then has to appeal it and prove that it didn’t happen, or get it reduced by the fact that it was not “intentional.”
Obviously Goodell needed to add to his slush fund
Bullshit. Some things are out of a players control.
On the flip side, you can control lining up off sides, and holding, every play. They ignore that shit for their favored teams every single week.
Sell it elsewhere. This is a Lions board.
I’ve been a lions fan since 1968. You got a couple months for me to go through the list?
Maybe we start with the fumble that no way in hell was a fumble? Or, should I start in 68 and go forward.
It isn’t linear
But yeah, the fine is bullshit. Even if only $1,000
We don’t need to rehash the pain Frog…
It kinda reminds me of the legal system lately Guilty until proven Innocent.
total BS. Its become such a sissy league.
We aint far away from a full blown tickle fight…
He wasn’t tripped
Here’s the video. Someone please tell me how Jack is supposed to stop or hold-up from hitting Jimmy?
He would basically need to be a ninja.
The video shows otherwise.
Why would a defender that has a free-run at the QB bounce off his knee a yard before getting to the QB?
Watch the O-lineman’s left foot, you can see where it hits JC’s leg and bends more than 90 degrees from his body?
Try turning your foot as far as you can while sitting in your layzboy, I can’t even get close to 90 degrees, let alone more than 90 degrees. More than 90 degrees is not natural unless you hit it on a leg of a defender running by you.
It doesn’t matter what angle the defender’s foot. There was no contact. You can watch the video to see for yourself
and this is with me agreeing that the fine is bad
And the NFL is registered as an entertainment company
Shhhhh @Jman the NFL doesn’t like people knowing that.
