Haha still completely free buddy! Except the farmers are known to fire shotguns at me from time to time!

For the last time tell your sister no means no. We had a good first date but she broke 3 chairs at Applebees. It cost me an arm and a leg. :joy:

David Montgomery has no problem with the price of beef.

I have been buying some of the ā€œmanager specialsā€ for beef that has been packaged a few days… funny thing is that some people freak out about the ā€œsell by dateā€ā€¦ but it isn’t a worry to me at all for beef.

Smallest herd size of beef cattle in 70 years. Droughts, rough winters and exceedingly high cost of fuel, feed and fertilizer is making the business unprofitable. What we do know, is that fuel costs are plunging from where it’s was. I’ll pretend I have no idea why. But I don’t know the other two markets (fertilizers/feed). In a supply and demand world, we’re low on meat, so we are going to be paying higher prices. Buy a cow, buy a freezer, buddy up with someone knows how to make something that goes from mooo to steaks.

Good point. I do that too. I think it’s just a fear of being sued so they discount the price to avoid going past the sell by date. Often times items go on discount when they are completely fine to consume

I just don’t buy it with the price that high. Pork and chicken are not that expensive. I also eat a lot more of the fish I catch.

Going to be a lot more fish, venison, squirrel, and, rabbit in my diet, going forward.

It’s really just the kick I need. I’m tired of hearing myself bitch about the shit they put on/in our food.

You do not want to know what goes on behind the meat curtains.

Costco also had bone out (that’s what she said) ribeye roasts after Xmas that weren’t sold. They were offering $45 off each one and they still were about $200. I’m going to start shoplifting my beefs.
