Great Hutch segment on ESPN pregame show
When my fantasy team goes down 30 points after only 5 minutes of the early window:
I am interested in the results of some of the morning games, and I’ll check the mail tonight or tomorrow morning. I won’t be watching live.
My interest over the years has narrowed to mainly the Lions and games that impact the Lions, such as Monday night. So I’ll busy with other things until shortly before the Lions start. Then I’ll have a nervous breakdown.
This is EXACTLY why I enjoy football more now that I quit fantasy football.

I don’t doubt that. I just haven’t bet on games for about 25 years, though I do make bets on season win totals, Divison champs, Conference champs and SuperBowl champs sometimes. This year I have Lions as conference champs at 5-1 and Super Bowl at 12-1, both for $100.

Before the 2023 season…
I was talking with a co-worker and explained many reasons WHY I believed the Lions would win the division.
It was certainly the 1st year in a long time (maybe ever) I was confident that the Lions would win it.
My co-worker also likes to bet on division winners as well as MVP races… and our discussion gave him confidence to bet on the Lions before the season when the odds were still pretty good to make optimal cash. I think he was able to make several $100 bets… which then got him several “free bets” … and he kept hammering the bets on the Lions.
I think he cleared several thousand dollars that season on his Lions bets.

I tend to stay away from betting on individual game winners/losers. I love betting on individual player performances.
