Either one is a terrible draw for Canada. That might be the best first round game of the whole tournament.

Awful way to finish but overall it was our B team against Turkey’s A team and it took the last kick of the game for us to lose.
That said it’s clear this team is really top-heavy. I hope nothing happens to our starting center backs, sheesh, our backups are not good. I understand why damn-near 40 year old Tim Ream starts. And Weah looked as bad as I’ve ever see him.

Not a good night for the US. Belgium surpassing Egypt hurts. A US run to the final would likely require beating Bosnia, Belgium, Spain, and France……yikes 
I would consider a trip to the quarters a giant success for this team and while the road is always tough I think the US road is everything they could have asked for.

The Spain and France part was always likely, and if Belgium plays like they have most of the tourney they are beatable (honestly if they play like that they might not make it to us). I don’t see much as having changed, honestly. Second round is harder on paper, but on current form there’s not much separating Belgium and Egypt.

We will see. That Belgium attack is lethal if they are on. I’d have much preferred the Egyptians. Oh well, want to win anything gotta be able to beat the best. Hopefully beat Bosnia Wednesday and go from there.

Right, on paper much tougher opponent, but watching them play 3 times (two Villans on their team!) and they’re just not hitting on many cylinders right now.
