I would argue that’s still not quite as bad as Jace Jung. Hinch is pretty special.

Tigers are going to need to go Gritty Tigs mode and win 2 out of 3 in Cleveland. A defacto playoff series. If Skubal and Flaherty are going to be our playoff horses, they can start a week early.

One serious issue is Skubal might need to pitch the last game of the regular season. Meaning if the Tigers were the 3rd seed he might not be able to pitch in the 1st round.
