But coming back to Detroit is another story. And here’s one hint, courtesy of Skubal himself, of why it’s not likely to happen. When he was asked on the podcast about what sets the Dodgers organization apart, he spoke about the Dodgers’ two airplanes.
One plane is strictly for players and coaches. It takes off early, because it doesn’t have to wait to be loaded up with gear and support personnel, and it arrives about an hour before the second plane.
“Those,” Skubal said, “are just the little things that the Dodgers do right.”
So as soon as Tigers owner Christopher Ilitch buys that second team plane, maybe Skubal will truly consider returning to Detroit. But don’t bet on it.
Looking at the rangers next 4 series are bottom eaters. Tigers just need to match them with wins. But after that they got the white sox.
White Sox have an interesting next handful of series Home vs Cincy Road against Tigers Road against Cubs 1 home game vs the Braves then home vs Mets and home vs Rangers
I watched that Dodgers game last night. I thought Skubal looked a little tense. He didn’t smile or laugh at all, like he did with the Tigers. First time pitching for them at Dodger Stadium. He looked better after the 3rd inning.

I hope that these hot bats dont fizzle in front of the home crowd. Sometimes playing on the road is less pressure but I like the top of the lineup for the Tigers so I think they won’t have a poor series. Clark also playing in front of the home crowd should be good to watch
