Tigers vs Orioles: July 27-29

Shit. Hit to win guys. …

2 runs from BLNO from 7-1 batters is ok, but with 7th hitter reloading them it feels lean, but Montero has not got it tonight.

Here comes the Pen!

*phun.

My fault I started listening. Going to turn it off now

Call teams tonight and say we’re selling. Don’t wait until the last minute. We need a bidding war for Skubal which takes time. You want to go to a team that has been outbid and tell them, I’m about to trade the best pitcher in baseball to your competition. Let them sleep on that and have nightmares.

No hyperbole there is not one single BP arm that I’d like to see on this team next season.

I blame Scott Harris for essentially doing nothing at the deadline last year.

The biggest issue with these Detroit teams is their management all assumes they have time. Time in the future…

Brad still thinks he has time for some reason, which he probably does this year and then it’s over. Steve Yzerman assumed he had time. Al Avila assumed he had time. Troy Weaver assumed he had time. Scott Harris absolutely assumes he has time. Trajan Langdon is now assuming he has plenty of time…which he might get lucky with because of how the NBA works when you have a top 10 player that’s young. I rather doubt it though.

Instead of striking while the iron’s hot, they assume the iron will be hot tomorrow when they get back to the shop.

American pro sports leagues are designed to get someone else’s iron hot while yours gets put out. Competitive balance. You don’t have ■■■■■■■ time. The time WAS last year.

We can talk about the off season as well.

This is what I was saying in reverse a couple weeks ago you have to buy the bat in the middle of July and the pen arm in the middle of July so that you can continue to climb up the standings to be in a position to keep Skub at the deadline. If not then sell off some assets and get some of that trade material back and your net cost was a little bit of comparative Prospect Capital

People hate on Framber but I’m never going to ever be upset about that. Bringing in legitimately good players in any sport is never a bad idea. It’s certainly not bad process. So what, it hasn’t worked out the way we wanted so far…at least we TRIED.

I’m sick and tired of not doing enough TRYING.

Even so. Zero bats added and found some ones grampa on the side of the road to close

Just in the game Tyler on Just in the game Tyler crime right there.

Betcha that never happened before… relieve picture faces pinch header of the same name home run

And yeah, we weren’t legitimately 59-34 good last year really at any point. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have supplemented what was there to protect against the inevitable regression they had…kept them good all year…and then given them plenty of ways to be successful in October.

Instead, we sat on our ass, let the regression happen, blew the biggest division lead in MLB history, and have nothing to show for it but a wild card series win.

DS9 is the best Star Trek. By a good margin.

Now we get to offload a two time Cy Young winner in a few days, and then head back in all likelihood to purgatory.

I could see a situation where we could have been a contender this year. Would have had to spent our money much better. We spent money on the wrong players. Scott still doing a good job but he would have to be virtually perfect to get us here this early.

At this point we wait for the trade deadline and wait for hopefully someone like Clark and Anderson to get called up when rosters expand.

Squirrel abuse. That’s how it ends.
