Yes to the top. That string of guys on the bottom i would keep. Young team controlled pitching. Most have been hurt so likely wouldnāt get much for em anyway

Zero percent chance? Thatās ridiculous. I saw the Tigers with a 3.5% chance of winning the World Series somewhere recently. Donāt know if Iām that optimistic but we have really good starting pitching. Itās a shame we blew so much money on Valdez and Verlander. The closer you get to contender, the more these bad signings hurt. Imagine watching Skubal walk and paying Valdez Skubal type money. Shoot me now.

Carp is one frustrating player. So much natural talent but once again looks like heās headed to the Injured list. I honestly thought 2 years ago the dude might hit 40 homers at some point. I believe he hit 20 homers in like 80 games at one point. Too bad he just canāt stay healthy
Heās actually been very good in the playoffs too.

I think the Skubal money for a future contract and the Valdez money are separate. They only have about 22 million into Valdez this year as far as the luxury tax, but it jumps to 44 next year which is about the 20m that drops off with Flaherty.
Skub has 32m this year and a contract to keep him likely adds $15m a year to that. Gleyberās $22m drops off, leaving $7m to pay for a bump to Greene in Arby.
No other bumps to guys over $4m for next year.
Fallback position is to wait for Skubās answer and if he declines, pay Mize about the same $15m bump from $6m this year to $21m AAV on a contract, reroute Skubās 32m to bats and pen.
Baez drops off after 27 and Greene gets most of it, with some room for a Dingler extension, pulling in some Carp and Tork $ too after 28. Recycle/replace

Is there a reason why Montero is starting? It seemed that he was extremely effective coming out of the bullpen. AJ figured we didnāt need him in pen because we were set there?
