To all you fantasy football players I have a question

I used to play fantasy football. I am just too busy for it anymore.

But I gotta know. Did ARSB get a passing TD for that shuttle pass to Gibbs?

Who had St. Brown last night and didn’t start him?

I wanna hear your St. Brown fantasy football stories. Good, bad or whatever.

I don’t believe Amon Ra got a passing TD, as it was a backwards lateral. The official scoring play is Gibbs right end for 4 yards, TD. It was a play you expect to see in an Army or Georgia Tech game. Running the option is wild stuff.

No idea on the passing question but one of the announcers made a really good point on that play, not sure if it was the Mannings or ESPN announcers.

They pointed out that the handoff from Goff to ARSB was perfectly positioned, heightwise specifically, to allow ARSB to pitch it with minimal adjustment. He, ARSB, didn’t have to adjust the ball in order to pitch it to Gibbs.

Reminds me of something others have said in the media today, and Dan has talked about more than once. Lions are detail conscious, details matter and that little detail, which I didn’t think off at the time, was spot on.

No, it’s a lateral

Yeah, if you have Amon Ra on your fantasy team and don’t play him, I am not sure what else to tell you. I think last week’s biggest fantasy painpoints was anyone who had to play the Minnesota defense. I think that defense almost put up 40 points? It was nuts.

There has to be one guy who over thought it….getting that guy to admit it might be hard but I wanna hear that story.

I cut TB kicker he put up 20 lol but Seattle kicker still did good

Literally no one unless they were hacked by an opponent.

ARSB is in the tier of fantasy player that you set it and forget it. You never consider moving them out of your lineup unless they have a bye. The only way I could see this not happening is if it’s like a 4 team league or something.

Right, you’d have to have an incredibly deep WR room to decide to bench Amon Ra for a better option. Really the story would be someone forgetting to set their line up. Even in a bad match up game, star players often end up getting the ball in garbage time. Hell, I FEASTED with my Stafford/Calvin combo back in the day, whether it was a Lions win or blowout because Stafford throws to Calvin every play no matter what.

lol coming off a 3 TD performance and playing on Monday night this week

Actually here is one that is more likely. How many people had David Montgomery on the bench? He had a monster game last night. That will hurt to stare at.

He’s top 3 WR in the game IMO

Jefferson, Chase , Saint Brown

Sit down Ceedee

Yeah, that one is DEFINITELY haunting some people.

Biggest bonehead move I made was drafting Kaleb Johnson in some leagues where I needed RB depth . What a bum

I will say that Brian Branch dropping that INT cost me a win in my dynasty league.

I’ll admit last week. This is my first season and though I knew it wasn’t “smart” FF drafting, I littered my team with Lions, so I wouldn’t have any feelings of not wanting them to succeed to the max. Welp… after game one, my faith in the young oline was badly shaken and Goff does not always respond well under inside pressure. I had Stafford as my backup and felt he would score more points than Goff. Oooooooooooppppsssssss…. So back Goff went and will stay there. Lesson learned. Even so though - I still won last week and this week so I’m tied for the lead as a rookie drenched in Honolulu Blue! Got TesLa on the bench and put in a waiver for the Lions D this week.

Yes, I heard them say that too and I mentioned to my wife about how every little detail is scrutinized to see if it can be made better, easier, and less risky. This team is a freight train.

St. Brown is a set it and forget it player.

I’ll only sit him if he’s on a bye or injured.

I do a similar strategy with Jamo but I might pull him depending on the matchup as he’s much more “boom or bust” and yesterday was a “bust” Jamo.

Goff is actually my backup to Lamar Jackson and I probably won’t play him unless Lamar is hurt or on a bye.

With the RBs… Gibbs is a start and forget it type player and Monty is more matchup dependent.

Next week is probably not the week to start Monty but against Cincinnati would be the perfect Monty game.

Had Montgomery and Gibbs in my lineup. Thank you very much.
