He’s a perfect fit for the Shanny zone scheme, no one ever said otherwise. He just really struggled at other aspects of the position, especially for his frankly insane cost. But good FOs will always play to a guy’s strengths and that will for sure happen in Vegas. There’s a reason he chose to go there (along with the money)

The ACL part hasn’t been confirmed, that will happen when he has the MRI, but judging from the reactions of the players, it looks like that is what’s happened. Jeantty probably felt the pop and knew immediately something in the knee tore.

A lot of teams are getting a head start on us for the worst injury luck in 2026. It’s always hard to threepeat in any competition, so I’ll probably have to dig deeper for excuses this season.
