Jacks worst enemy is himself.
Hinch would love that idea. That would be right up his alley.
I dont mind a 6 man rotation. Skubal and Valdez dont skip their starts. Cuts back on Flaherty and jv
Nice DIngler article
Kids been on fire.
Tigers 6-1 over last week
Guardian 1-5
8 back in division

Houston gets: Max Clark, Max Anderson, Colt Keith, Keider Montero, Malachi Witherspoon
Detroit gets: Yordan Alvarez, Josh Hader
We win the AL with those two pieces. Screw those prospects.
I’d do that without getting Hader back. Alvarez has consistently been a top 3 bat in baseball.
I’d be open to it for certain, just don’t know the two Houston guys well enough to have a competent take.
It’s a lot to give up but if the first guy is as good as @HSVLion is saying then make it so.
Right on cue, ok so I will do it in a heartbeat.
There was a time when Yordan was put alongside Aaron Judge.
An injury last year and the Astros not being as good anymore, plus Judge picking it up these last three years have sort of ended that talk, but Yordan is insanely insanely good.
Alvarez is awesome at the plate no doubt. He is absolutely terrible in the outfield though and needs to DH. Which is tricky cause Dingler is DHing when not catching. Carp is probably best at DH too.
One of the best 3 hitters in baseball plus one of the top closers in baseball. It fixes alot of things for us.
It’s a pipe dream though.
Yeah we’d have to deal with Dingler being out of the lineup when he’s not catching.
We’d also have Yordan ■■■■■■■ Alvarez, so I’d be ok with it.
Skub-Val-Mize-JV-Melton with Montero-Madden-Jack-Finnegan-Vest-Jansen bullpen
strengtens your middle relief as long as a combo of Finnegan/Vest/Jansen can take care of 8-9 innings if needed
Also tempted to see if Flaherty could come in as a set up/closer
Imagine a guy like Melton going 5 innings and then 2 of the montero/madden/jack trio pitch a few innings and then Finnegan/Vest or Finnegan/Jansen for 8/9 inning
He’s actually pretty cheap too. Only 26 million per season which is peanuts when you consider Tucker is making 60 mill and Bichette is making 42 million and they both kinda suck. Alvarez’s agent should be looking for a raise and an extension with the numbers he puts up
I would do it if it was Briceno or Liranzo instead of Clark
Liranzo preferably
Still giving them 4/5/9 of our top prospects along with a former top prospect and a solid pitcher
