You had me until I saw “ESPN”.
Then, there’s this;
“Yes, I do think you’re gonna see that. You saw Dan Campbell get all fired up, he looked like the cat who ate the canary,”
To me, he looked like the cat that just cashed in the receipts he’s been keeping.
Schefter tends to have pretty good sources, so I’m thinking this goes beyond pure speculation.
As long as Dan isn’t his main source in Detroit.
I’m thinking Dan is holding a few receipts on Schefty, too!
I’m concerned about the effectiveness of Smith without Garrett. Smith has a free shot while Garrett is double teamed. What happens if Smith is the one double teamed?
Mac, Reader, and Pascal, aren’t.
Schefter may not be getting any information from the Detroit side of the equation, but rather (1) the other teams; or (2) the player’s agents.
Going by the “rumor mill”, we know that the Browns already pissed Holmes off…
We’ll find out in the next few days. Until it happens, it’s just speculation.
I’ll be good most any way it goes, but, I’m not buying in to the fantasy.
How so?
“Sources” said that there was a heated phone exchange.
I guess it’s possible that Holmes pissed the Browns off. Either way.
If we’re believing “sources”.
My preference, at this moment, would be, Arden Key.
“Journalists” consulting their “sources” for these trade rumors:
(and just like that, we’re back to butt stuff!)
All news.
Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to have someone worth double-teaming. But I do wonder how much it would help.
We all remember many long stretches, and a couple whole games, where Hutch was doubled and chipped and STILL nobody else could muster any pressure. Double teamed and still manages to generate more pressures than anybody else, and maybe than EVERYBODY else.
So… yeah. Hope they make a move to bring in a better pass rusher than anyone the Loins already have. But I’m not convinced that that, by itself, will substantially upgrade our pass rush results.
At this point I expect nothing from the trade route. My hopes of a pass rush have now gone to wondering if this GM and coaching staff can find a raw diamond or 2 on a practice squad and polish them up into something as the season progresses.
You never know. I think Nowaske has started to look far better than expected and he was waiver bait when the Lions grabbed him. Maybe there’s a talent out there that just needs reps to grow.
This is far from the worst take I’ve heard in the last couple of weeks during this whole thing.
Yes, but if they double Z Smith, and we blitz Anzo or nowaske, odds increase a lot the blitz gets home.

Not surprising
and Schefty also reports that the Falcons are in on Azeez Ojulari
Have you got a link to this? Was it Schefter reporting it?
Schefter and Rapoport are plugged into the teams, their “sources” are legit, they get fed news directly by agents or GMs. There’s a very big difference between their sources and those of others, for example Florio, who regularly reports bullshit.
Oh, I have to have a link to my source, but, they don’t?
Okay.
I’m not part of the hype steering committee.
