UAP / UFO General Topic

Anyone into UAP’s / UFO’s at all?

I thought George Knapp’s new documentary on Netflix was solid.

I was a bit disappointed in todays (11/23/24) Congressional Hearing but I can’t say I had high expectations going into it. It’s so frustrating hearing witnesses declare they can only answer the more interesting questions in a SCIF.

I thought the previous Congressional Hearing (7/26/2023) was a bit more enlightening, but equally frustrating when it came to navigating through classified info.

So…who else out there follows the whole UFO / UAP thing?

  • What do you think is going on? I’d love to hear some crazy and not-so-crazy ideas about any of it…the vehicles, the beings, things like crop circles, animal mutilations, abductions, etc.
  • Does anyone have any books, podcasts, movies, shows or sources for this stuff they’d recommend?

These are a few things I’ve been into lately. The Eyes on Cinema repository in particular is incredible.

Yeah I definitely find it interesting. Now, whether they are aliens or our adversaries is up for debate. I would like to think that if someone on this planet had that kind of technology, we would have some insights. Maybe we do. Maybe they’re ours. I certainly find it interesting that many of these are based not only on witness testimony (by some of our most highly trained observers by the way) but have also been corroborated on military and airport surveillance systems.

Yeah, absolutely.

It’s hard for me to believe they are/were adversaries. I think they’d be able to squash us like bugs if they wanted to, no? Then again, perhaps there is some kind of reason they aren’t permitted to….

Now, that’s not to say they couldn’t become our adversaries if we were to mess with their nearly unlimited hydrogen supply (“they’re here for our ocean water” speculation).

I know there’s a lot of speculation that humans have recovered multiple crashes, but I’m not certain whether or not they have the ability to fly them or not. If you believe Lazar, it sounds like humans have had the ability to fly them for decades now. It’s hard to believe this technology hasn’t gotten into the “wrong” hands yet.

Fascinating stuff. At this point, there’s so much evidence and corroborated testimony that I think I’m beyond the “are they real” part. I’m very much now just curious…who are they, why are they here, how long have they been here, and what can they teach us?

I saw a UFO back in 79. I was working Security at Honeytree. My boss, two Canton cops and I were shootin bull in the clubhouse.
It was a glowing orb that had what looked like retro rockets that would fire every once and a while.
The Air Force took it seriously. They had fighters on it in 5 minutes.
I know that Livonia and Wayne County had eyes on it, too.
I lived on an Air Force Base a year before that. It was nothing I had ever seen.

Wow…that’s wild man! The orbs are one of the more commonly reported UAP’s…often traveling in a group of 3 in a triangle formation. Sounds like there was just the 1 on it’s own (or perhaps the other 2 were cloaked at the time) when you saw them. Spot on description that matches countless other accounts.

Crazy that they dispatched fighters, too. Imagine being those pilots.

“Uh…ok…we see it…now what do you want us to do?!?” lol

Thanks for sharing. Do you remember any other details like…how it “disappeared” or anything? Did it shoot off into space or the horizon? Maybe just disappear?

My parents watch The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch on the History channel, and it’s great if you’re into this kind of stuff.

Mathematically, almost next to impossible that we’re the only life in the universe.

Mathematically, almost certain that because of the vastness of the universe and our current understanding of physics that it’s probably unlikely we’re to run into other intelligent life.

For that reason, I’m definitely a believer but also a skeptic. I definitely think it’s fascinating and would love confirmation sometime in my lifetime.

No doubt!

I have to ask - at what point do you get “confirmation”?

  • Seeing a UFO / Alien with your own eyes?
  • Seeing a UFO / Alien in HD from a credible source on video?
  • More compelling witness testimony
  • etc

I ask because I had the same thought for a long time - “I need confirmation before I can actually believe this thing is legit”. I finally crossed over into believing I had “confirmation” after the 1st congressional hearing.

It’s difficult for me to not believe people like Ryan Graves, David Fravor, David Grusch and Tim Gallaudet. Sure, there’s a lot of crackpots out there who inspire doubt, but these guys are about as credible as they come. After hearing them speak, under oath, in front of Congress…I think that’s when confirmation 1st came for me.

With so much evidence at this point I am curious to know what needs to happen for this to move the needle enough for other people like it did me. Is there a specific thing or list of things that would need to happen to confirm this is part of our reality?

Yeah, I mean, for me it depends on what the ‘evidence’ is right?

Video only? Yeah, at this point, I don’t think any sort of video alone is going to confirm anything for me. AI is getting too good, editing tools are too good. I don’t think I could go from video alone unless it was like a rare case…like there’s a live news report and it’s happening on camera. Even then…a “War of the Worlds” situation has happened once…

Obviously, the closer it is to me personally, the more apt I am to believe it. Even if I saw something personally, it’d have to be like prolonged and involved like a physical touch (pls don’t probe me) or something. I know how untrustworthy the human brain and senses can be at times, so I’d really have to be able to make sure even in the case that I thought I was standing face to face with one.

For me, the most likely thing is that it’s verified by scientists/sources I can trust. It always seems that a lot of “disclosure” comes from some of the sketchiest people who don’t have credentials. There are some compelling things that have come out, but I think you have to have multiple people verify those things.

Now, if they found a body or ship or something and had a guy like Richard Dawkins or Neil DeGrasse Tyson - someone I know isn’t going to bullshit me because they’re after TRUTH - and they say it’s legit…that’d probably be enough for me.

Especially since it was over Hines around Newberg/Levan area, from a Honeytree point of view.
Probably not a good idea to shoot it down.

Yeah.

I probably wouldn’t start a fight with something that infinitely more intelligent and armed than I was lol. Probably not the best idea.

Okay, since I’ve shared this story on social media more than once, I’ll chime in here.

First, let me say I am an evidence-based person and do not believe in the vast majority of conspiracy theories and the like.

Now. What I saw.

I was walking home around 9 or 10 pm on a summer night, not a cloud in the sky. Stone cold sober.

I felt “something” and looked up. And there was a MASSIVE spaceship sitting there silent. I felt a shudder of fear, which I liken then and now to the fear a small child might feel with a towering adult over them about to dispense discipline. That buzz of fear that goes from the head to the feet like electricity. I mention this specifically because this is one the details which reminds me that this was real. It’s easy to think, over time, that maybe it wasn’t. And whenever I’ve told this story, I am met with general skepticism or outright derision.

So this thing was huge, bigger than the Closer Encounters ship but likewise lit up with multi-colored lights.

As soon as a saw it, I felt the feeling I described above and looked down in fear. After a second or two, I looked back up. And it was GONE. I ran around looking at the sky around trees and houses to make sure it wasn’t something like a blimp or whatever that had just moved out of view. Nothing. Nowhere in the sky.

People who know me and know I’m not full of shit suggest this was a black book US government technology or some such. I highly doubt it.

This thing would be way beyond what I think any world government could have had in the 90s.

At some point later, after the internet came along, I looked up reported sightings from that time period on MUFON. Boom. Someone about 60 miles away reported seeing the exact same thing around the same time. A giant ship, they looked up and then down and when they looked up again it was gone.

This thing was shockingly huge. Very impressive to say the least.

So, I’ll go on record here. Not afraid of whatever anyone thinks. I believe there is an advanced physics that alien life has (not surprising) and our estimation that they could never travel here given the vast distances is wrong.

Or, I’ll say, if some world government had that technology back then, well… That’s at least, if not more, improbable to me.

If it was alien, I do not fear them, as I did when I saw it. Just a natural reaction. If they are that advanced, they need nothing from us. And are probably well beyond war as a way of operating in the universe.

I’ve seen one. I’m still skeptical.
The U.S. Government is very good at keeping secrets (when they want to), and spreading misinformation.
I’m beginning to believe everything I’ve ever seen and heard was a psy- op.

I wouldn’t rule it out.

So when are they going to “whip it out”?

Technology like this would make all American enemies whimper in fear.

Waiting for the big one?

Personally, I think we’re kind of like humans were when they thought the Earth was the center of the universe. We’ve recently discovered a star that is older than the universe. Possibly up to 200 billion of years older. Let that sink in.

I think we overestimate our own physics, and underestimate what civilizations much older than us might have. We’re babes in the woods IMO, despite how far we’ve come since modern science came online.

Reading all of this, I obviously don’t know enough abut it to have an informed opinion. Never saw one personally. Good topic!

This is amazing and matches, almost verbatim, what several others have experienced. You are definitely not alone with this exact style of encounter.

Can I ask where and when this was? Sounds like 80’s or early 90’s? Whereabouts was it?

Thanks for sharing - This is wild!

This was in Windsor, Ontario in the late 90’s.

I know this is not an uncommon sighting. When I mentioned it on facebook, a good friend tagged another friend who must have seen the same thing around the same time, same place. I sent that guy a friend request to compare notes, but it wasn’t accepted.

Then there are those who talk about the “blue beam” that aliens use to stun people as the reason for my physical sensations. Don’t buy that, at least in my case.

It was the exact same sensation I had when my Dad was pissed and standing over me as a five year old. A kind of electrical buzz from my head to my feet.

Who knows.
