But here’s the thing….the HC has had more than just these three games. JJ has had more than just these three games. Many of their players were on that 13-4 team that won the NFC North….so they have proven something. You are trying your best to have confidence in something that deep inside you aren’t really sure of……if I’m you I’d just quit trying to prognosticate the Vikings fate and worry about the inconsistency that you see in the team that you root for!
prognosticate the Vikings fate
I’ll microwave it for you guys…
the vikings are toast!
TouchdownMyPants: Richard_Parker: TouchdownMyPants:Yes, several seasons… They started 1-6, finished 9-8, they didn’t give up, played hard even through the early struggles. Through that, they’ve proved, over several years, that that’s the kind of team they are. The Vikings haven’t proven that yet, they’ve played 3 games with big changes at big positions.
A journeyman QB playing well for extended periods of time IS unheard of… That’s why they’re journeymen if Darnold can pull the rare “Baker Mayfield” and play well for a full season, he’ll get a good deal in the off-season. I remember when this Vikings team had Josh Dobbs winning games with a QBR over 100 and a 2-1 INT:TD ratio… Then he pooped his pants and threw 4 INTs. Point is, the Lions have proven over several seasons that they’re resilient, not losing back to back games since October 2022 (that’s 2 seasons) proves my point. Vikings need to prove they can keep this pace up, the Lions have already.
Their HC had already proven that he can….so there is that! And he’s done it with different QBs, that is, gotten big wins! Again roster turnover is par for the course…and the Vikings are proving that they can win with the guys they have
3 games proves nothing… Let’s pick this up after mid-season, see how they’re looking then.
Also, Flores may be the best DC in the league.

Yes, pick the one season over the last 5 where they overachieved and were bounced early in the playoffs. I’ll stick with history, where they play well with a backup level QB for a few games until the wheels fall of, like last season, bc the proof is in the pudding and that’s what this team/HC has shown, consistently (not inconsistently) in the past.

If you stick with history then the Lions are DOOMED!
They’re a surprise for sure, I definitely had them in the basement of the division. They’ve beat 2 playoff teams. Their defense is better than I thought it’d be… They’re playing clean football (low TOs and penalties), running the ball and playing defense, that’s a winning formula
One of the things that had me impressed last year was how well coached they are. The “luck” factor of the previous season masked it (for me, anyways). But last year it became clear that the staff is good at what they do. I think Kwesi is holding them back from how good they could really be.

Maybe… Some of his moves look dumb on face value at the time… But time will tell. I like the Aaron Jones, Van Ginkel and Greenard signings this past offseason… His draft picks have been about 50/50, but he didn’t have the luxury of 2 top 10 picks and a bunch of other 1st rounders from the Stafford trade like Holmes had. We’ll see how the next 2 seasons play out, he may end up being a good GM

In his very first draft he had the 12th overall pick. He traded it for Lewis Cine and Brian Asamoah. Neither player has started an NFL game. Kwesi is not complete garbage, but he does leave alot to be desired.

Didn’t you forget Ed Ingram (35 games started)?
I also don’t think Cine was a terrible pick, just didn’t work out. He was captain trade down his first draft, but it seems like he’s getting better
