Been listening to a lot of Michael Jackson stuff, after attending the movie.

Super-creative and quality person. He understood love on a level that most never will, and it showed up in quite a few of his songs. A long-shot from my favorite genre, but he stood out, from a talent perspective.

Thanks for turning me on to that. Loved it. I’m going to YouTube some more of their stuff.

Their debut album is awesome IMO. It’s like Massive Attack meets The Kills meets Can with some Bauhaus in terms of tone.

May hit Stoopfest this weekend…

At least make the Rent Strike show…

@The_Kid, that would be one of those one hit songs I was talking about. Still a great song but the only song they charted.

The Peaky Blinders movie was absolutely terrible, but it did introduce me to Irish Doom Folk music. So there’s that.

This song popped up on my spotify random playlist… for any fans of the late 90’s Nu-Metal sound, Primer 55 was underated imo, and lowkey made limpbizkit sound limp

That’s Boz Skaggs and Duane Allman. The link works maybe @CasanovaJack1 can repost this classic blues number. Loan me a dime.

Got it, great song. Been following Boz since the Steve Miller days.

One of my favorite records ever. I honestly do not listen to music that has strong emotional/semantic content much these days. While working, it’s instrumental or meditation-based sounds. That’s how I spend most of my time. When I want a break, I go for a walk on the beach or for a long hike.

A lot of the music that I used to love is just too intense for me at present. But yesterday pulled this one up. This record was a big turning point for the band and, I think, popular music in general. Way ahead of its time. Kind of predicted the times we’re living in today. Stellar work.

If you don’t mind being immersed in existential angst and dystopian despair and are not familiar with this one, give it a try. :joy:
