Has Marvin Jones done anything? He seems cooked from what I have seen. People were high on him when we got him but it was a Meh signing for me. Is it me or does he seem slow and is not getting separation.
We need Jameson to be at least DJ Chark like down the stretch to really make us dangerous. I feel that’s the one element we are lacking right now. A true deep threat that keeps defenses honest. Oh crap somehow another Jameson thread lol.
Marvin was never a guy with quick feet to get in and out of breaks to create open looks for the QB. He caught a ton of contested passes while he was here.
Marv just can’t get any separation. He was never good at it, but him and Goff are not a good match.
Marv needs jump balls and contested catches to excel, and Goff doesn’t throw those type of passes much, which is mostly a good thing.
Yes he did at one point, but that was 3 years ago and this is his 12th year. Guys like him, Kenny Golladay once the quickness dips a bit they are not effective, because they can’t the separation to even have the chance at a contested catch IMO. I want them to start incorporating Antoine Green our 7th round pick a little bit more in upcoming games. Since he can be a part of our future. Marvin Jones will not. (I did like Marvin during his previous run with us)
He missed a block on one play. I’m done with him. He washed up. Probably would make a good wr coach some day
Fumbled the first game against the Chiefs.
I had high hopes for him but I think he is done. He isn’t as good as our top 5 WRs now.
Amon Ra, Josh Reynolds, Raymond and then rookie Green are the top 4 now. Jameson gets back in three weeks.
Marvin seems like a future non-dressing player.
Rumor is The cosching staff was split on keeping him. Many dont think he deserves 53 man spot.
He has been blocking well overall, but yeah I dont think he will be dressing come mid season
Yeah, I mean, how far can Green be behind him in practice?
I’d really like to see Jamo and Green filling out the WR reps in the second half of the season and MJ getting the scratch on game day.

With Kalif really starting to show, I’m not sure why we are still keeping Marvin. Love the guy….he WAS good for us, but it’s time to move on. Not sure what he adds. I’d be interested to see how many snaps he was in for.

Bad news is that Jones signed for $3M. Good news is that it won’t go any higher. There’s about $2M in incentives built into his contract. Don’t see him checking a lot of the boxes:

Speaking of, Walker dropped 2 picks today…had some big hits, played well. So did Iffy. Like that.
MJ used to be a useful WR-admittedly --I was excited to hear he was coming back , he is done as a player IMHO… and I’m not certain they keep him on as some kind of WR coach.
Marvin had a fumble earlier this year, missed a block today, and then for his encore… didn’t line up correctly and forced Dan to call timeout and he looked PISSED about it. I think the staff is just about done with this guy. Once Jamo comes back Marv will be inactive on game days.
