Whittingham to UM; five year deal

They will never be a big player in undergrad transfers. But I am also not sure that really matters much anymore. The top guys rarely actually graduate so it does beg the question why they can’t get some of these dudes in. Who cares if no credits transfer. But I am sure their is way more or it than that.

But I agree they will likely be a recruiting powerhouse with their NIL mountain of money and also in the Grad Transfer portal.

It seems obvious that the main issue is trying to understand who is actually in charge

The athlete that’s not likely to make millions in the NFL.

In charge of what?

You’re complaining about Whittingham’s age so I’m saying is Indiana complaining about hiring a coach that is 2 years younger than Whittingham? Do you think that Cignetti was a bad hire because he’s old and stuff?

What was said again…you said they dont do the portal, yet I pointed out you guys do indeed use the portal. Are you just wrong or just very you cant be wrong type of person. They had 17 portal players last year and thats pretty normal.

I said they aren’t big players in the portal. I’m assuming you know what that means but are just doing your typical routine. Or, perhaps you solved their undergrad problem. I’m sure a lot of athletes would be happy to hear that.

Also, make a distinction between Bball and Fball. May not make sense to you but for UM there is one. They are not the same.

Meanwhile on B1G network UM is up 17-3 on Washington, I think this one may go in UM’s favor.

You are wrong.

I gave you guys names. That have been big pick ups for the football program.

Can you repost? I may have had you on ignore when you gave those names

It’s like what most teams do. Fill in what they need. Uofm has had some big time portal kids. Wasn’t there few LBs and a stud rb. A kicker , Stewart, barner, nice oline players as well

UM traditionally can get guys that are grad transfers or freshman transfers due to their own stupid preferences.

That may have changed but in the past that was where they excelled in getting transfers into the program

Barner was a grad transfer, sr transfer from memory.
Kicker was also a grad or sr transfer.

I’m not saying UM doesn’t use the portal or transfer but the internal rules, UM not NCAA, limits who can or cannot transfer in to UM. Has been an issue for decades

But they do. But to say they dont is foolish. Thats not against you. Its the same thing with every college. Their actually done pretty good with the portal. Not saying its true but seems like nil has changed rules as well

Yea, again, to say they had 17 portal players last year, not saying you are wrong, but number seems abnormally high for UM.
I would need to see who you are pointing too within the specific number you offered up.

UM has their own rules for transfers which does not follow the NCAA rules that set standards for all colleges.

UM has a standard that they have set and it is different than the NCAA reqirements.

He did make it all about age, no mention of late in the game hire. Hilarious that Cignetti’s only 18 months younger.

Okay Marty. You are right. Michigan is one of the biggest players in the game. I hope this lets you sleep well tonight

UM is now up 17-10 on Washington, national title on the line. Hope the sign stealers did their due diligence.
