LOL UM offense is not as good as Washington’s. Not equal at all. That is like saying JJ is as good as Penix.
But regardless, UM defense should be the difference. Get stops and run the ball and grind the game away. Penix and Odunze are gonna get there’s but I think UM keeps them out of end zone enough and win something like 31-23
Washington = 37.6 points per game in the defenseless Pac 12 (no teams in top 10 defenses)
Michigan = 36 points per game in the Big 10 (with 4 teams in top 10 defenses, with Michigan playing 3 of them)
You could actually say that Michigan actually has a BETTER offense than Washington.
Michigan has a more balanced offense for sure.
Washington has a great o-line, especially at the tackle positions. They are a little smaller in the middle though, and I think Michigan can exploit that.
And the hits just keep on coming.
It will be interesting to see how Michigan plays this Washington offense. Attack or drop 8?
Washington doesn’t have a prayer. That is all…
Line moved to 5.5 from 4.5.
It seems to me that if turnovers are even, Michigan should easily win. Penix will feel the defensive pressure and be a tick late in solving the defensive scheme. The Washington defense will wear down under our running game. So I say…
That, and Michigan’s defensive backs are also very, very good. The defensive front gets most of the credit, which is deserved of course, but the back end of the defense often gets overlooked because of it.
I will say though, after watching penix deliver the deep ball with such accuracy last week, that’s nearly impossible to defend. It’s the one thing that worries me.
If that guy ends up with the Vikings, with those Wr’s, watch the ■■■■ out.
Least penalized team in CFB: Michigan @ 2.85 per game (26 ypg)
One of most penalized teams in CFB (#124 of 130): Washington @ 7.64 per game (71 ypg)
It is difficult but texas pass D is among worst in country.
In fairness to Washington I think Penix was pretty banged up in those games, Oregon obviously hurt him in their first game. That’s how you slow them down you obviously have to hit him. He did a better job in the 2nd meeting with Oregon but the Ducks played that one without both starting CB’s making coverage hits difficult. I think Michigan can hit him and that’s they key. They don’t and Washington scores early and often.
But even if Washington scores do they stop Michigan? I doubt Washington scores each time with the ball.
Line is moving further in michigan favor.
Up to 6.
I hope vegas is correct on Michigan.
Strange stat- in the cfp era where 1vs2 the 2 has won every time. I hope that trend ends tonite.Michigan will be sporting their big game blues and they are 16-1 with those uniforms
Prediction: 27-24 Wolverines
I like Michigan in this matchup, biggest cause for concern though. Have they already mentally played their “Super Bowl”.
42-21 Michigan.
