Less point scored than opponent.

If only the NFL would implement the Hutch Rule we’d be set
Not sure we would have taken advantage of that today anyways.
Should be called the Dan Skipper Rule or Jamarco Jones Rule…..had more to do with them than Hutch I believe.
The New Orleans Saints had 5 sacks today
The Patriots had 4 sacks today
The Jets had 4 sacks today and gave up 34 points
And the Browns had 3.
The Chiefs had 3
All these teams lost
That’s nice but how many pressures did we have today? ZERO in the first half, I think it ended up being 4 total.
That is 4 QB pressures
Hutch got a big goose egg going against a 7th round LT
Something doesn’t smell right, I think Dan and crew have been blowing smoke up the media’s ass about just how good Hutch has come back from that leg injury
Oh and Davenport, the guy with all this potential if he stays healthy, another goose egg from him.
You can downplay sacks all you want but they are an indicator of something much bigger on how the defense is playing.
Well I know I saw hutch and Davenport both dropping into coverage on 3rd and long in the first half. And playing man is great when it works but definitely wasn’t working today.
Scheme was also more vanilla than an Ivy league chess team.
Hopefully Hutch isn’t looking for $45 million a year with zero sacks.

Ravens are up 27-13 on the Bills with 0 zero sacks as we speak
I’m not saying they dont matter at all but I am saying it is not the end all be stat.
Hell the Bills have a sack and already given up 27 points 163 yards rushing and the 2nd half just started
I think so. Probably.
Jack one on one on Kraft was a terrible plan and it bit us in the ass. Once we adjusted the defense was fine. Defense would have been good in the second half if we didn’t refuse to accept Jordan Love’s turnover generosity on back to back plays.
On defense we were almost getting too creative. Hutch and Davenport in coverage multiple times
the Packers just torched those looks
yeah… that coverage thing is weird… because there wasn’t an overload blitz on the opposite side… it was just soft coverage with even less pass rush (if that is possible).

I agree the defense seemed to settle down for the most part. It’s just when you hear all the hype before the season about how well Hutch is doing (The Hutch Rule) and how well Davenport looks, then for the 2 of them to have a game like this, pretty disappointing
And Hutch was up against a 7th rd pick at LT, Walker is OK, but he was in a battle for the starting LT during camp
We also sent quite a few blitzes in the 1st half that got absolutely no pressure. The Pack oline clearly was ready for us. We didn’t catch them off guard at all.
yeah it was a game where in general we got punched in the mouth
next game is gonna be a big one for this team this year tbh, if they look like this at home against the bears?
concern
Right. The pass rush did suck. I’m not denying that. I think it will be fine. But it’s pretty essentially that we get 90-95% of 2024 Hutch. We clearly did not today.
We did get our butts kicked. But we also fumbled some great opportunities. Teslaa’s penalty on the punt gave them 32 yards and likely three points. Goff’s int cost us 3. AA’s drop may have cost us 3 or 7. Rock’s hold cost us 7. Just a couple plays that we make 9/10 times and it’s a tight down to the wire game despite being outplayed.
