2024 Draft

To me that is like saying an Iowa TE that has started for 3 years misses a block. Are we going to say the player missed a block or he was poorly coached?

Pre-snap position is different. As is being CB away from the action.

I think this is a bad comparison.

Even so…if Kool-Aid was a top corner trained by the best…he might use his jam better on top of this.

You’re comparison to TE to CB is not good one for several reasons, in my opinion.

Just think about a CB technique…no other position should be involved.

Anyways…3 years of training…gives up the inside after 3 years of training on a wide split?

But…who am I?

If you asked the question to Kool Aid I’m sure he would not say he wasn’t coached properly. Kool Aid might not be a great player but I would not blame Saban for any of his shotcomings.

Sometimes fans looking forget they are college players not pros . When your pro that’s your job ask the draft picks from last season how they have to look at it different. Like the pros we don’t always know what they want a player to do an how what it looks like changes snap to snap.

I don’t care. Thats how you know I am honest. I really do not care.

1 Billion for a guy that was not around for the existence of YouTube…

I am not a bad guy. If you want me to be your bad guy ai can do that…but…

Wish everyone here the best.

If anyone need anything…let me know.

Lions will win the Super Bowl next year.

And some guys just can’t keep the weigh on. There’s risk but in a multiple CB draft pick scenario he’s a guy I like. May take a year or two before he’s ready though

Scouting combine invites trickling in. I imagine the NFL will do the dump on Monday so they fill up the whole calendar year

He’s expected to be quite the specimen from what I’ve read. :man_shrugging:

Woke up did this. Stupid ad on there popped up and accidentally selected brandon Coleman instead of who I wanted to select which was Christian mahogany in a take. Brian Calhoun mock draft blunder

Yeah I keep trying to find the full list but the league is annoyingly close to the vest about it. The things three weeks away, we should know who will be there.

Might be one of those auto-drafts that work out. I mean I’d personally take Mahogany too, but I like Coleman, and he’s a better fit for what we like to do.

I get it. The two and a half weeks between SB and scouting combine is one of their material scheduling gaps.

They’ll probably give the SB recaps most of next week and the drop the scouting combine list.

My big thing with Coleman is the alarming QB hurries/hits he has given up the last 2 years 31 hurries and 11 hits we have Goff back there. Maybe it is more with him at LT instead of LG but it’s worrisome

Yeah I was too, but when I watched the tape I found it wasn’t as bad as the numbers.

That offense is uncommon and puts a lot of stress on their tackles (they’re basically always in space), he won’t see that as much in the pros, especially from inside.

And if you watch I’d say about half of those pressures were on the QB. Coleman did his job then the QB ran himself into a pressure (this was especially true when Duggan was back there).

He still needs to shore up his technique - one of my main beefs with him, especially given how many games he’s started - and I’m a little worried about his awareness, though again, different offense, hard to know what he should be, or was told to be, looking at.

He’s also apparently a very laid-back guy and that will have to be vetted. Does he turn it on once the game starts? He doesn’t seem to have any work ethic issues, but sometimes it’s hard to tell with OL on tape.

I also love his basketball background. With OL you love to hear they have hoops or wrestling backgrounds.

Another 7 rounder from PFN

Our picks:

  1. Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia
  2. Tez Walker, WR, UNC
    3a. Ruke Orhorhoro, DT, Clemson
    3b. Zak Zinter, G, Michigan
  3. Josh Proctor, S, Ohio State
  4. Charles Turner, C, LSU
  5. Carter Bradley, QB, South Alabama

Not a fan personally. Turner is probably my favorite pick, though I also like Orhorhoro.

That does seem high for Tez at the moment but the combine is likely going to treat him pretty well I’d think.

I get your concern but stylistically he fits what I’m looking for perfectly. Jamo’s 2022 role in the pass game fits his skillset pretty well IMO.

I don’t love the draft either but I could live with it. I think Lassiter is likely to be solid if unspectacular.

Just feels like we didn’t get great value most of the time.

Oh I was fine with the Tez pick. Don’t hate it, don’t love it, but late 2nd is OK. He does fit a lot of what we need, I agree. If we can mitigate the concerns raised by the Senior Bowl, could be great for us.

I’m not Lassiter’s biggest fan but whatever, if Brad likes him enough to take him that high, I’d admit defeat. Did not like the Zinter pick, and Proctor and Bradley seem like wastes (though honestly I don’t know that much about Bradley, I’m sure I’d come around if we picked him).

Proctor will be a terrific pro if he can stay healthy. Though I don’t think he can. It’s too high given that risk and the lack of need.

I don’t think Tez passes our turd test. Not saying he’s a bad kid but a lot of Sr. Bowl observers described him as seeming aloof and disinterested :man_shrugging:

Yeesh, bad look for a guy competing for his future. If true it might take him completely off our board.

Tez is one of the few players off my board completely

He aint it, senior bowl was really bad for him

Would honestly have Rice over him tbh (thats a reach, i know it is, just shows that i dont like the kid for us)
