Can someone post a link to the site that is listing Sauce Gardner as the best “current” CB in the NFL?
Of course it’s a NY paper.
Who are people going to notice more? The player making plays for a team that is 7-2 in the last 2 months or the player whose team is 1-8?

You lost the chance to debate when you didn’t even realize Sauce made the pro bowl……you are grasping now. If sauce wins the award……going to love to see the excuses you come up with.

This isn’t about being a homer. Hutchinson has done something that only a hall of fame defensive tackle has ever done. It doesn’t matter what the defenses are ranked. If anything it makes Hutchinson accomplishments even more impressive. He’s not playing on a defense as talented as the jets. Both players are major reasons their teams are in the playoff hunt. If the lions make the playoffs, with Hutchinson having another big game, and the jets don’t that could push Hutchinson above sauce. I honestly think they should split the award since both players have been outstanding.

Yes, it does. Ya’ll are diminishing the play of a kid who is lights out and been lights out the entire year. Is Aiden deserving of consideration? Yes. Does he win it most years? Yes. Not the year he is going up against a corner who as a rookie is a pro bowler, most likely an all-pro and the best corner in the game…as a rookie. It’s really
Simple. Aiden is the best rookie DE. Sauce is the best corner PERIOD. So yes, people who think he should get it over sauce are playing their homer card.
Now the suggestions is being made if he makes the playoffs and let’s be real…if the lions make the playoffs it has more to do with their top 5 offense then it does their 32 ranked defense.

You’re chastising people because you believe they’re diminishing the play of sauce Gardner. Yet you’re doing that exact same thing with Hutchinson. Nobody is saying sauce isn’t an amazing player and one of the best at his position (#1 at any position is subjective). Sauce more than likely walks away with the award. It’s not a long shot if Hutchinson wins it over him though. The season he’s having is historic for a lineman. Especially a rookie.

He has a nearly perfect coverage rating. He’s allowed 27 receptions, and zero tds in 16 games.
Think about that…. The Lions didn’t target him once.

You would not be correct. I said hutch is deserving. Very deserving. But what sauce is doing is insane and even more incredible. And saying people are playing their bias card is a fair statement.
“Hutch has 3 ints, he has more ints then sauce!”
That’s just one of the arguments that is being used. And if that is the argument then you really haven’t watched sauce play and are playing the bias card.

Yes but outside is Detroit you would have most fans wanting Bosa for example over Hutch. I’m not sure there is another CB in the league anyone would take over Sauce.

The fact that you are serious makes this post.
My two cents:
Sauce Gardner played his entire college football career and gave up zero TDs - and he started as a true freshman. He then proceeded to start / play in all 16 games thus far in the NFL and still has ZERO touchdowns allowed as a ROOKIE.
Hutch has been amazing. But what we’re seeing from SG is insane.
To put it in perspective (at least from my view), my buddy and I have a bet on which of the two will it be, and both of us are prepared to cough up the money and not be shocked or disappointed either way.
Hutch is a monster, but Sauce might already be the best CB in the league.
