In the future every game will be played in the virtual realm. Every player will be wired and in their own virtual pod connected to the game which is then simulated and broadcasts both to us and projected as a hologram into the stadium for the fans
No injuries ever. Except when your wide receiver crashes into a guard rail trying to catch a hot pizza
So a 10ypc WR, a possession WR, is the key to this offense being one of the best in the league? No…it isn’t. It’s probably the running back averaging close to 9ypc and being one of the most dynamic and big play threats in the league through 3 games. ARSB is a very good player, but giving him credit as being the key to the top offensive in the league just makes me laugh. He’s not even one of the 20 best WRs in the league. Swift however is one of the best and most explosive RBs in the league. Swift makes this Offensive explosive, ARSB does not as a 10ypc player.
As to swift being injury prone…there’s no confusion here, I’m well aware of everything Lions as you are. Swift is getting hurt and missing games, that’s a fact. In fact, in games swift gets injured, he finishes them. It isn’t until the next day and headed into the following week we here swift might miss the upcoming game. Then it turns into 2, 3, etc…running swift to score a TD isn’t changing anything. In fact, he as proven time and time again he’s going to miss games. So the games he does play, you might as well get the most out of him. But naw…back Jamaals grit and toughness as he powers his way to a sub 4ypc. Fits the demeanor and attitude as the coach. Play the guys who have the best attitude! God forbid we try to give ourselves the best opportunity to score.
I don’t think you’re far off from what sports in the future may be.
I thought about this the other week, for road bicycle races, just put everyone on a stationary bike that tracks their speeds and leaning, put them on a virtual course and see who wins. No cost for closing off roads in cities, no injuries, etc.
It’s not about being explosive, I’m not sure why you can’t understand this. You seem to have a serious disconnect to understanding what makes an offense click. ARSB gets us first downs, keeps drives alive, and offers Goff a WR that he’s confident with.
Did you watch how Stafford fed Kupp last year?
That is comparable to how important ASRB is to Goff.
OMG though, Kupp is only a 12 ypc guy, he’s not explosive.
I’m not arguing ARSB isn’t valuable. He definitely is, especially for a QB like conservative Goff.
What I’m saying is the reason this offense was ranked #1 through 3 games is because their starting running back was averaging 8.6ypc. That’s what’s moving the chains and racking up 1st downs. He is puttting you in spots that no one else in the league is on a consistent basis besides Nick Chubb. Just about every team in the league has a consistent chain mover as a pass catcher. Zero teams had a RB like Swift through 3 games.
He’s the most dynamic, explosive, important, and best chain mover on this team. In fact, any RB that is over 5ypc is more important than any WR aside from maybe Randy Moss and Jerry Rice. They are what make it easy to move the chains and keep defenses on the field to wear down. ARSB again is a very good player. But swift is the most important to this offense.
Why didn’t you break down ARSB statistics by game? Because it doesn’t totally fit your narrative?
Probably because over half of ARSBs statistics are accumulated in 1 of those 3 games.
And swift isn’t given the opportunity to score TDs because Jamaal is such a “stud.”
Might as well pay Goff 40m+ Make ARSB the top paid WR in the league…I mean if this is the dynamic duo that translates to the top offense in football. You should take over in Detroit…keep things rolling right along.
Because my wife was calling me on her way home from watching her nephews.
Ok, so here ya go since it looks like you’re too f-ing lazy to do a quick search.
Lol 60% of his statistics are literally from 1/3 games…you and your memes aren’t clever. You must be over there just self congratulating yourself! Man I keep treating JD! This is too easy!!!
Swifts stats were from the first 3 games, you asked why I didn’t break ARSB’s stats down for the same games, so I did.
And, he’s been hurt since.
This really seems over your head.
Buh-bye.
He was only counting the dull games ARSB played…
but if ya want to call it the 5 games he played…
or the 6 total games the Lions played… no difference.
Obviously you weren’t keeping-up my me and JD’s conversation, where I was showing the stats for both players for the first 3 games of this year, the only 3 that they were both healthy.
But yep, oooohhh you got me.
If you are only looking at the 3 games he was healthy…
57.3% of ARSB’s yards were gained in week 2.
They gained nearly the same number of yards in those 3 games… and both had a big game that accounted for over 50% of their yardage total in those 3 games.
