Was thinking last night. The rooms that feel light right now are: RB, CB, DL. Unfortunately, there aren’t really many options at this time of year to upgrade those rooms appreciably

I really can’t see the cardinals keeping all 4 of their guys. If I were them, I’d be trading Conner. They aren’t going anywhere this year (also I’m not sure they want to with their QB situation) so let’s see what Benson has before giving him up.
Love, Allgeier, Benson is a pretty deep room still imo. Conner also would be a great add. The Petzing connection makes some sense too.
Offer a late day 3 pick or a rare player swap. I feel like they could have some interest in the interior lineman we don’t have room for 
Saints have a crazy surplus of serviceable RBs too. Wouldn’t mind the odd man out of that group.

Conner is the goal line junkyard dog we could use if Petzing thinks he’s got gas left in the tank. 5th or 6th round pick is fine by me. That would go a long way toward solidifying things.

It’s a push to me. You couldn’t go wrong with either player. During that draft in 2023 if the Lions were going RB Bijan would have been my pick. They took Gibbs and I have no regrets about that

Gibbs is going to get a 3 year deal like Bijan… Standard practice for a position like RBs… 3 years/$67.5 million worth up to $78 million

RBs are replaceable, even the best ones.
3 years with incentives, injury protection stuff…
Give him his money but give the team an easy out should his career end early.
And if things just go as expected we can have this discussion again in 3 years

2026, 2027, 2028 fully guaranteed.
2029 partially becomes fully league new year 2028.
So 2030 is basically completely open and optional. $21m.
Incentives. $420+ each year: 800 yards RECEIVING Gets another $420k if he does does that and a divisional round playoff birth. $750,000 if he gets MVP (not OPOTY)
So lets say he gets 2 bonuses. $840k.
His REAL new contract from 2026-2029 is 4 years $60.5. $15.13m aav.
