Because every team in our Division was off that yr we were SB caliber?
All good. It’s just a bit schmaltzy is all. I can appreciate it. Reminds me of my old girlfriend in college who always wanted to energize crystals and read peoples auras. Here though I generally prefer links to data to support claims
Where did I say we were SB caliber? I said the division was ours for the taking and Stafford choked
According to Pro Football Focus, Stafford has a passer rating of 98.4 this season when under pressure – which is best in the National Football League.
That is for 2020
My bad, read it wrong
He’s grown quite a bit as a QB and could very well win a SB for the Rams. Kupp is a stud. I hope Holmes can find a WR like that for us
Unless this is a random aside though what Natty contended as a general statement was that Stafford was the most pressured QB in the league while here
All good. Especially after taking statistics in college, I don’t worry about stats as much as most. I see the people who think Goff vs Stafford as the great controversy of our time using the exact stats they used to prove Stafford sucks…to do the same that Goff is awesome, and vice versa.
Here are your stats, schmaltzy reminiscer
@TNutZz
Im heading to bed. Nice talking with all of you. I dig all your passion for the Lions and love for the team. And enjoy the exchanges. Except Richard, who I muted for two months. Sorry Richard. If you reply, I won’t see it
Natty you know I’m joking about you sounding like a chick.
Though if you do do astrological readings, I could use a reading. My crystals are waning in power and I need to harness my spirit energy
It’s all good. I understand why you muted me. Not that I called you a name or hurled and insult at you (because I don’t do such things) it’s because you tried to swing a topic in your favor and you got caught with your hands in the cookie jar. And again, it was all about 2013…. ![]()
That I’m not sure, early on sure, back to back yrs of shoulder surgery, just a few yrs ago I recall the vikes sacking him 10 times in one game. As to the last few yrs don’t know, Stafford is good at getting the ball out, but where he ranked for time to throw I have no clue. Under pressure, he’s one of the best in the game.
Good night
“I didn’t like Fields, and hope I was right about him, but in hindsight he may have been the right pick.”
“Just curious, what in hindsight makes you think Fields may have been the right pick? To me he has kind of sucked and I think will be another failed Bears high drafted QB.”
This is soooo not true and such an exaggeration. Goff threw for 155 yds and one TD. Cam Akers had 131 rushing yards and a TD and the defense scored a TD. Talk about intellectual dishonesty!

Unless you believe Goff, his wins and pro bowls were simply an illusion.
Yes, it was all an illusion. It was a McVay-controlled Goff in a new-look Rams that succeeded. It worked for only so long and when they could no longer wait for Goff to learn how to run a pro style offense, they moved on.
He’s simply not very good.
Through three games I was underwhelmed by Goff but thought he would get a bit more comfortable and improve slightly as the season went on. I would have had him well down the list in areas of concern.
He has since moved very much towards the top of it. Thought the line was ok yesterday, it wasn’t a case that Goff was under huge pressure but he never looked comfortable and unable to get past his first read. Granted he doesn’t have the talent around him which is a factor but he simply isn’t doing the basics as a game manager.
Thought our defense looked really promising in the first half but the way the offense was playing simply sucked the life out of the team.
One thing to remember on the WR portion of this discussion…
The “starting” 1-3 WRs this year are arguably a worse group than Stafford ever threw to at any point in a season after his starters were injured.
They did not bring back WRs 1-4 from last year. Cepheus was number 5 on that roster. Hell, the off season 1-3 didn’t even make it out of camp because they cut Perriman. Benson, now riding the pine. So this would be what talent wise compared to last years team? WRs 9-11 or 12 that are out there starting for Goff to throw to???
Not trying to give cover to Goff, as I said earlier, he definitely shares part of the blame. But we have to be honest, injuries have greatly diminished the talent level on offense.

I still think even with the #1, #2 & #3 starting WRs this team is still 0-6. With no injuries at all they wouldn’t be better than 1-5. That is how devoid of talent this team is.
LOL, I agree with you. In hindsight I was speaking more to Goff not playing up to expectations, and QB may have been a better route. I’m still on board with Sewell. If Goff continues to regress and Fields becomes what some think he will that’s what I was getting ar
Campell can call out Goff but Goff is a stop gap. The Lions need a legitimate QB. I’m not surprise as we knew it would be a struggle this year. This team is bad and probably won’t win a game this year

Stafford obviously had some pretty good #1 WR play but he spent a chunk of his career with a sketchy #2 and a big part of his career with a bunch of no-name guys as his #3.
