Goff vs Stafford Career Stats (Why Goff is the Best modern Lions QB)

Yeah, I mention he is #1 in TO’s since 2017. That’s a fact. Only me. I don’t care about you guys throwing manipulated stats around. I watch the games. I see the guy throwing INT’s, and fumbling. “But, but, but, but”. You guys are cocked and loaded every single time there is a conversation about Goff, and i’m asked loaded questions.

I’m not playing that game either. You guys put Stafford down in order to make Goff look good. I’m not going to do that.

Here is my opinion, and you’re not changing my mind. Goff is no where near Stafford. He is not, and will never be the best QB in any modern day in Lions history. Goff doesn’t have that talent. I MIGHT rethink things if Goff wins multiple SB’s, and I do mean multiple, but I still doubt it.

I gave enough logical reasons for my opinion.

Let me say this… I think Stafford is a top 5 QB in the league. I think Goff at best is maybe 10th. Hence, Stafford is better than Goff.

One of the toughest QBs in NFL history.

Tough alright… hopefully the CTE aint too bad in the future…no way he should have kept playing after this. Alim and Hutch put him in a different dimension

Charlie Batch too. The guy played a Thanksgiving Day game against New England (it was Tom Brady’s first NFL appearance), with broken ribs.

No joke.

Here is one big difference between the two.

So glad we beat him while winning our first playoff game in 30 years. He’s the enemy now and is going to try and come in here and beat us the first game of the season. ■■■■ Stafford.

No one would choose Goff over Stafford if you put them on the same team, surrounded by the same players, same coaches, etc. They’re just very different in terms of pure talent. Goff went from an offensive genius in McVay(who wanted to get rid of him for Stafford, mind you) and then Goff came to the perfect situation for him. Indoors, great OL, great OC/HC, great running game and supporting cast.

Stafford is just better. It’s not debatable, but here we are with the 958953 stupid topic about Goff vs. Stafford, lmao.

They said it couldn’t be done.

There’s nothing “manipulated” about looking at turnovers as a percentage of throws.

In fact what you are doing is manipulating stats by cherry picking a single stat out of context while intentionally ignoring the rest of the data set

Then whining about people coming at you when other posters present the rest of the data

Stafford didn’t win one until his 13th year. Goff is going into his 8th. He’s got a few years to raise that trophy, as a Lion hopefully

We got close last year!

You’re kidding right? Goff came to a perfect situation in Detroit??? Rams were a shit show as well when Goff was drafted. Guess what, Cal was a shit show too when Goff got there. Somehow Goff has lucked into going to 3 different teams that were all shitty and somehow was lucky enough to show up right when the teams were getting better……

You mean the first year away from the Lions and The Matt Patricia s of the world.

If Goff and Stafford entered a suicide chicken wing eating contest… who would win and why? Keep in mind these are suicide wings. No water or liquids allowed.

Agreed, Peyton Mannning is a statistically MUCH better quarterback than Eli Manning. Marino is from a completely different era than Tua and Marino set records that weren’t broken for 20 years. Jared Goff right now is a statistically better quarterback than Stafford, and if he wins a Super Bowl with the Lions, he will easily surpass Stafford, not just as a quarterback with the Lions, but a quarterback in general. .

Indeed. pretty sweet for him to go to a Super Bowl ready team. Makes me appreciate this team and Goff all the more that it got built from scratch.

When we DO win a Super Bowl here in Detroit, it will be Amazing

Home grown. Detroit vs Everyone

What bs, most here , you and others laughed at the thought of Stafford winning a Superbowl that year. Then when he won you and another came up with it was a stacked team.
