Well, we can just play two centers, right? Both Cade and Juice. Problem solved.

Good, Air and Valenti are ahead of me on the list. That means I’m safe until he catches those two.

Sooo…. Anyone paying attention should realize that the rookie QB deal is now a myth again given that after year “3” every decent one has gotten a top 3 of market deal in recent year. Odds makers have him pegged at 4 yrs and 280M… they will be signing him to that by July-

It’s not like they haven’t spent on the O… Odunze, Loveland, Burden, Moore then Raymond, Kmet, D Wright, Thuney, Swifty and soon 70M on Caleb

That’s steep for 25.7 ppg

Their D is top 10 for now, but haven’t played many offenses yet

I don’t see many Ben picks that look like home runs yet

It’s not a myth, though it’s often overstated. Or maybe it’s more true to say that the downside of NOT having a QB on a rookie contract is often overstated. But it’s a great boon, you can really stack your roster when you’ve got that advantage. You can also have a talented roster once you have to pay the QB, you just have to be more judicious.

Crown the man

He has the best vocab I have ever seen

I’m around 14 words or so I’ve had to dictionary and also seems like he uses them perfectly grammatically from what my dumbass can tell

Where was @Jah26 when this happened? Does he have an alibi

I not sure how related the two situations are but it does kinda make me think of the Rams getting Myles Garrett and many were already crowning them. It got even more intense as Donald made his comeback. But the Rams have struggled out of the gate. But that’s not to say they didn’t deserve to be considered as favorites but some folks literally CROWNED the Rams as Champs!

The ramifications of trading a Tyliek Williams and and Xavier Worthy for the best DT in the NFL?!? What are you even talking about? You are nuts if you don’t think this puts the Bears firmly ahead of us. Jeffrey Simmons is a)awesome, b) has 4-5 years of dominant football left, c) signed for 4 years plus at a reasonable price. The ‘real den like fans’ that would be upset are clowns. Sorry, but the Bears are great on offense, and now are very good on D now. They pushed their chips in, and will be good for a few years. The Lions L, well, couldn’t part with the 61st overall pick 2 yrs from now and 150th next year. Cmon.

You can provide a simultaneous undercarriage tickle until it’s time for you to take the lead.

That’s funnier than crap, and I believe 100% incorrect, LOL.

I imagine the vast majority would call their agent and ask them if they’re trying to ruin their career.

I guess I’d like to see it play out before I crown the Bears. How often has a DT trade resulted in being the missing link to a championship? His numbers this year are similar to Alim’s. I would be ecstatic if some team offered us 2 firsts, a 4th, and a 5th for Alim. I would think we fleeced them. Remember Green Bay was supposed to never lose a game again with Micah. How’s that working out for them?

Tough to judge this trade. As much as it pains me to say this, the Bears are a really good team, and Ben Johnson has been a great HC. And the way they play on both sides. They are capable of winning the division, and beating anyone. Now, they are legit a SB contenders. If Caleb isn’t goofy.

One “blockbuster” player changes the game. I don’t know if Branch will be the player he was. He looked good, and you can see just him coming back made a difference.

Bears are in win now. I want that. I want to be in win now mode. Their “win now” might be good for the next 2-3 seasons. I want that. Lions should have done that couple years ago while Ben and AG were still here.

The Bears basically lose two low first rounders that could be looked at as 2nd rounders.

People talk about this elite draft in 2027. I don’t really like to trust that kind stuff. And what does that mean? In a few years we’ll have some great player? I’m kind of sick of this future talk.

And what did the future do? Nothing. We have regressed. I’ll gladly trade Arnold, Rakestraw(love Rakestraw), Tyleik, and Moore (two 1st round picks, and two 2nd round picks) if that means I can hypothetically get Patrick Surtain.

And with a core team like Penei, ARSB, Goff, Gibbs, and Hutch, this team can bounce back if some big trade failed. They are already needing to bounce back without some big trade. They would have to draft well in the other rounds which is already expected.

Yeah, the Bears did good. I want that.

EDIT: Yeah, obtaining Nelson to have next to Penei didn’t cost much. Then i’d make a big trade for a CB. a 1st or more. With Branch back, and possibly Kerby and waiting for Jack to lock back in. Yeah, I would.

Just for accuracy sake, the trade was Titans sending Simmons and a 2028 5th for the 2 firsts and a 4th.
