I think the thing on trading Torres, not opposed at all ftr, is the injuries and I suspect he’s hampered now again.
So a trade chip to free up Max A sure.
But, Max Anderson could also be traded, or, Lee is traded and Max is moved up to Detroit. Options everywhere
What they get for Skubal is going to determine what I think they should go after for the rest of this deadline, obviously.
I don’t think some buying for guys with term is a bad idea either. We should still try and contend over the next couple of years.
There are rumors of a Panda to be named later which evens out the deal.

You get the right bp guys back and there is still a chance especially if they keep Mize. If they trade Mize then it’s all about playing the young guys to compete in 2027 or 28 if there is no 2027.

Jensen for Noble Meyer(once top prospect has dipped to 25th prospect for the Marlins)

Mize and Torres for Lagrange and Ryan Weathers or something. Yankees could use Torres back.
De Paula plays RF in 2027. Lagrange can be our new closer. Weathers can be a back end of the rotation starter.

Well they should.
He has a pretty weak arm for right field. Sufficient but not optimal. He is much better suited to play LF, or even first base.
