Fangraphs has Marquez as the #67 prospect in baseball. I’m floored that the Giants did that well. Guess the Phillies listened to Bryce.

Brenton Doyle to the White Sox.
Brenton is a rough first name. I’m grateful for many things but I’m not grateful enough for not having been named Brenton.
Just go by Brent that ain’t so bad. It could be far worse.
I mean Jacob Latz is the Rangers current closer and he’s been killing it so I’m not sure why they would trade him given that their closer in the hunt that we are but who knows right?
Doyle was a guy that looked like he had a big breakout season though probably a little Coors inflated Big Time contact issues so kind of fits that whole White Sox team. Cheap bet on some sort of recovery I guess. Not the guy who I get if I were the Tigers.
Latz definitely would be but there are a lot of guys out there I’d like them to sign if they’re truly going to try to just trade off Scooby and bring in enough to do the thread the needle gig. Makes it harder without a game today for them so there’s no scratches to give a little prescient tip of the Hat

Dude was a $1 keeper for each of the next two years and qualified it catcher again next year with 20 starts. I already have Joe Mac as my second catcher in that league and I figured this would happen so I picked up Augustine Ramirez last night for a dollar so hopefully that guy can recycle his 2025 success.

I want us to acquire a BP arm or two EVEN IF we trade Mize. It needs to be done anyway. This team should be in position to win in '27 and beyond, but you need an actual bullpen to do so.
