The Michigan comments are extremely unnecessary here. I don’t know why Spartys have such a hard on for post college rival players. There were some fans here and across social media who literally wanted Hutch to fail here. And when he didn’t, it was still “he ain’t that good,” crap. Then injured they were happy.
Spartys are insufferable when it comes to anything UofM. I hate Michigan State because of their fanbase. But I still wanted Charles Rogers. Because who cares after college? I will take a buckeye all day because those guys now how to play football. And if we really wanted to go through successful/bust professional athletes in sports Sparty is laughable. Even the “god” Tom Izzo can’t develop anyone or make them better for the next level. Seriously what prospect has that guy ever made into a pro? The guys that got there were always NBA players. And they weren’t great at MSU.

I agree with your assessment and I think you make some valid points but I’ll say this. McVay was a QB guru and he gave up on Goff.
Sometimes guys just don’t mesh with what a coach wants to do…. But you’re right the outlook on JJ isn’t a good one but if he ends up in SF I’d bet money he’d look good in that offense.

And uofm aren’t special? Every fan base has some special and asshole fans. Its still early to call JJ q bust, but also didn’t think he was good at uofm as well. I think when you have a top rushing game and stacked oline . That always makes a qb way better. Plus I perfer him to be a bust because well that could force Minnesota to take another qb and its not because where he went to school. I would love to see Williams not get any better and Love to stay average.

I never thought JJ was a good QB. I saw nothing while he was at Michigan that said, “Yeah, that’s a guy who’s gonna be great in the NFL.”
Of course, that means nothing, but JJ not being good at the NFL so far is one of the least surprising things that has happened, to me, in recent memory.

I mean name some players, or a player, that Izzo turned into an NBA player. The only ones that got there with success were the elite prospects who get there no matter where they go to school.
Draymond Green is the only guy I can think of that he might of turned into a successful pro. He doesn’t have cases of a Nik Stauskas, Caris Levert, Duncan Robinson, Trey Burke, Jordan Poole. I mean look at what Dusty May just did with his team.
Michigan is now on their 3rd coach since JB and they have had significantly more success than Izzo over that span. He’s the most overrated coach of my generation. I mean the guys biggest claim to fame is consecutive tournament appearances. But is there a more under achieving team once they get there? 7 of the last 14 appearances they failed to get out of the first weekend. And that’s from a team who lives as a 2 or 3 seed. So half the time they are getting bounced by a significantly inferior opponent? Come on now…

And whats your point? Maybe their not nba players. But cooper and Kholer both got better. Pyane got better and was a 1st round pick. Love how JJ turns into a msu thing. Msu fans are special. As this isn’t about msu. Its literally about JJ Mccarthy
My outside read on Murray is that he’s a pajama princess, meaning he can light it up in camp with the red penny on but folds when playing any team that attacks him.
I feel the same way about Minny.
And there D is more smoke and mirrors than Seattle’s is. I don’t love their defensive personnel but their expertise in manufacturing chaos is unrivaled.
