NBA Offseason 2026

Norman Powell? makes the most sense or opening up the books to get someone in a trade (Herro)

again Pistons were after Reaves earlier, and to get him Stewart needed to be off the books.

so they are chasing after somebody, just need to know who exactly.

Beef Stew always seemed like a piece we’d trade as part of a package to get someone else.

I don’t understand salary dumping him.

What are we actually doing?

For us to operate as a salary cap team we’d have to do way more than just this. We’d have to lose Tobias, Duncan, Stew, and more.

It’s not the right way to manage assets.

Pistons about to be 40ish win team

he is currently the 3rd highest contract on the team before the trade, doesnt even account for re-signing Tobias or anyone yet.

Which makes him a perfect player to be traded for another player. Not to be salary dumped.

I’m going to stop pretending Trajan Langdon doesn’t know what he’s doing but in a vacuum this move makes absolutely zero sense.

He doesn’t.

its very weird all around in a vaccum

they have to be making a move for someone. If they shoot and miss though… ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  yikes

Isaiah Stewart embodied being a Piston. Elite defender. Didn’t take shit from anybody. Never backed down. Repped Detroit all the time. Stayed loyal during some really terrible seasons.

It’s a business at the end of the day and I’ve known this was coming, but it sucks to see him go.

[Fischer] Memphis is trading these same three second-round picks that the Grizzlies received from the Pistons last night, sources say, back to Detroit, in order to land Isaiah Stewart.

okay so its… Stewart for Okorie… Thats hilarious

Baba Miller is really interesting IMO. Could definitely see him being a big second contract guy. He reliably makes a few OMG plays. Just needs to become more consistent.

I’m gonna miss me some Beef Stew. You are right he embodied being a Piston.

Hopefully this will make more sense in a day or two.

Stewart and 21 for Okorie is a terrible trade right now. Sorry.

Especially if it prevents us from making a bigger move later.

I think its to clear space for JD and Thompson

Sooooo why didn’t they just offer this last night?

WE DON’T NEED TO CLEAR SPACE FOR THOSE GUYS in the NBA.

They probably did. Stewart himself was acquired in a draft day trade that ended up being way more complicated and had several details emerge later.

It was eventually revealed that we got that pick in the Christian Wood S&T to Houston.

Stew and 21 to move up 4 spots! brilliant!
