NBA Offseason 2026

Those were dumb because they were over aged. But zero Detroit has taken a chance at all. Look what the captain has done to the wings. Its gone to left him cook to his food is poison and dont drink the broth.

I wish I was a Philly sports fan. They get all the nice things.

36 year old Paul George and two draft picks isn’t even close to “going all in.” I would’ve made whatever our equivalent to that trade is in a heartbeat. Ausar and salary and two picks.

That’s just plain idiotic by Boston.

Once again Detroit gm has no nuts

In order for Detroit to make a trade for Brown they have to be able to give Boston something they want. Why would they want Duren after signing Mitchell? Detroit added perimeter shooting in a weak NBA FA. It’s the NBA, they can want to go after the few big game players there were in the FA but if Leonard says “yea no way I am signing long term with you” what are they suppose to do. It is what it is.

And so dies my dream of Jaylen Brown in Detroit and it probably would have been a bad fit anyways. He didn’t like being 2nd to Tatum, how was he going to feel about being second to Cade? Also WTF were the Celtics thinking? I hate the swap from their perspective.

Paul George was 29… And we’ve talked about this before, but Yzerman was strapped with putrid contracts and no farm system… Abdelkader literally JUST came off the books this offseason… He added pieces, drafted really well, and now it’s getting to the point where those types of bigger swings make sense, but they didn’t for basically his entire tenure (I would’ve shipped the picks for Hughes).

Pistons and Lions are young and top teams in their league… The all in moves come in a couple years if they can’t break through the barrier IMO

Did yoy see what they got? Why is it only Detroit teams that cant make a move

Ah, a full day of calm, measured responses. You guys never fail me, unlike some GMs around here.

Yet the captain wants out. Excuses only get so far

It really looks like a bad move for Boston on paper… Besides shedding salary

So? Duren wants out and they literally just won the East… Sometimes people aren’t happy regardless :man_shrugging:

Why would this mean we’d have to waive Duncan?

If winning pointless titles is your long then good for you. Pistons were very lucky to escape round one. They wont be as good as lasy year. Lost the physical play and defensive. I want titles and nothing more. Sorry if im being rude. Its been awhile since a Detroit team has one it all 2008, right.

I’m really starting to suspect something funny is going on in the NBA.

Who is they?

The pistons?

They traded for Isaiah Joe: Volume 41% 3 point shooter.

They signed John Collins: A 41% 3 point shooter. He hit 6-8 3’s in a game against us last year. Good rebounder and defender.

Kevin Heurter- I actually like him. He plays high IQ basketball and is a better defender then Robinson. I think with an entire offseason under his belt and playing with Cade more regularly he will blossom.

It’s a weak FA class. Can’t make a trade if teams are not biting. Can’t sign a player unless he wants to come to Detroit.

Is it an underwhelming class on paper yes, especially if you were hoping for Brown or Leonard. But if this is a tweak where we got better offensive punch AND Duren, Thompson and Holland all take jumps then this is a much better team.

Also have to remember Lavert had a uncharacteristically bad year last year marred by injuries. I am not going to suggest Langdon is a P$@#$. A P@!## would have overpayed Duren. He has played this thing really well. He gave him a fair offer and let the market play out. He didn’t panic.

I don’t want this to happen either, but there has been a lot of talk online from media members that they believe Robinson will be waived as a result of the Collins signing.

  1. Lakers. 4-1 sweep.

Eh, their identity is defense and physical play. They lost a player who fits that identity but he was giving them diminishing returns. He was a liability. It is cool and all initially when he takes no crap from anyone, but after the 10-15 time it’s like bro, WTF are you thinking? It will be hard for them to be as good as they were last year. It was a 60 win team. The going to work pistons won 60 games once. It doesn’t mean they won’t be good, won’t make the playoffs, won’t contend for a title.

At what point does Duren realize that his agent is full of shit and he ain’t getting a max contract?
