We donā€™t want them to catch up though. We have so much at our disposal to make sure that they donā€™t.

Iā€™m not even going to pretend that I know more than the Pistons brain trust, but in my minds eye, we have the chance right now to make our team much better this year and into the future.

I certainly donā€™t want a Cleveland-like ending for the Pistons. But I hesitate to argue trades or lack there of because I am not privied to what the negotiations are. I know teams who are willing to trade star players(like Giannis for example) what the Bucks might ask from the Pistons might not be the same they ask of another team!

We are now tied with OKC for the fewest losses in the league (12).

With SGA being out for a couple weeks it is very possible that we will have the best record in the entire NBA by the end of this week.

Bols I will agree that when I watch the Pistons it does seem like something is missing. I think Cade needs his Robin. Duren, who I absolutely love, Iā€™m not sure is that force. Heā€™s certainly a good player but I donā€™t view him as ā€œShaq-levelā€ dominant or Tim Duncan level. Itā€™s seems he is the type to just go for the ride, do his part and do his best to help the team win. Maybe like Sheed, Ben or Webber back in the day. But we will see how it plays out!

We are a great team because of our defense, our chemistry, and our depth. At least two of those things can get fuked in a hurry if we make the wrong trade. I would rather stand pat then to ruin a great thing.

That wonā€™t stop me from hoping that we make the right trade though. Specifically Trey Murphy.

Duren is a non-factor in crunch time as is everybody else but Cade and on occasion Harris or Robinson.

The Pistons #2 go to guy is Tobias Harris and I donā€™t think itā€™s close. Thatā€™s a big problem come playoff time IMO. Simply out hustling teams to victory works in the regular season but not the playoffs when youā€™re facing full rosters (a rarity in the regular season) and good teams every game.

For reference, the #2 guy on the previous Pistons Championship teams were Dumars and Hamilton. Massive difference here. Look at all the contenders in the league, they all have far better #2 options than the Pistons. The Pistons donā€™t necessarily need a star to pair with Cade but certainly better than old Tobias Harris.
