Can we get a real Lion to play center? That’d be sick. I know Dan talked about a real Lion on the sidelines, but I think one playing C would be way more effective

What makes him a bad fit? Surely center is pretty much the same all across the league, regardless of scheme?
Sorry, I’m not up with OL schematics at all so I’m just assuming a great C on one team will be a great C on our team.

He gives up a lot of pressure early, which we all know is bad for Goff… He’s elite at the 2nd level though… He doesn’t have a good enough anchor or power for the Lions IMO

I think the Lions go after DE Dre’Mont Jones, OT J. Wills and Center Brock Hoffman.

But he is an elite run blocker and the #1 thing DC wants to do is run the ball.
Put him, Tate and Sewell together and they can run right side all day.
He is susceptible to bull rush’s by bigger DT’s but they can handle that with Pass bocking schemes to reduce pressures.
Linderbaum is a pro bowler compared frequently to Jason Kelce, if you can get him you get him.

He is… I just feel the cost/benefit ratio is too lopsided with a QB like Goff. I expect Lindenbuam to sign in NY and would be a great pairing with a mobile QB like Dart

They can’t though. They’re exploring trading Jalen Carter and AJ Brown because they’re up against it money-wise. They let Milton Williams go last year because they couldn’t afford the max contract he signed in NE.
I think it’s weird people talk about the cap like it doesn’t exist or you can just magically make money appear with no real consequence. Sure, you can kick the can down the road, but you have to pay the piper eventually.

Exactly.
They’re aggressive and use future years more than any other team except New Orleans, and I wish we did that a little bit more, but it’s not this free money bin they have access to and no one else does.

There’s this idea if the Lions go all in for one year it would guarantee a Super Bowl and people won’t care if we are ass a few years down the road.
In a sport with a 100% injury rate that feels crazy to me especially when the teams that winning the Super Bowls are typically deep as hell as across the board
