■■■■■■■ embarrassing.
I am once again extremely embarrassed to be a Lions fan.

The Lions are not trading for a CB that isn’t a willing tackler and would be a pure rental. I get it, I know the Lions need secondary help, but Porter was never going to happen for the Lions. Brad is predictable if nothing else.
I am so unbelievably sick and ■■■■■■■ tired of this mentality.
I’m out this season. For the 61st year in a row the Lions will fail to win the Super Bowl. See y’all this offseason maybe, only if something changes.
ehhhh we did with CD3 (he was a willing tackler, but also a rental mainly)
I mean this is Brad Bro
idk what else you expect.
Yes but Carlton was much more of a Brad/Dan guy than Porter. I believe that the Lions were in on this but were never going to outbid Dallas.
Also we need to have a conversation with how many “Big” trades blow up in teams face respectively.
Micah Parsons, Sauce Gardner, AJ Brown now for the Pats. etc. etc. etc.
but i wont lie, I get the frustration because we need help BAD rn, and we do need to make a move.
Cowboys not extending JPJ instantly is interesting to see though, and if that turns into a rental lmao.
The season officially ended last night. Sorry, but this team can’t compete with the higher ups in nfc with this secondary. It’s just incredible that it is NEVER us who makes the all in move. We can’t just not expect our GM to make moves because “it’s Brad being Brad”. We should be complaining today. Loudly. He can’t keep getting away with this. Real nfl fanbases riot against this behaviour. I’m tired of just bending over and accepting porridge and dry toast. The hope it brings alone is worth the 60-64rh overall pick in two years. Stop accepting this garbage!

Can’t wait for the defensive backfield to be fixed in three years when we have 110 other roster issues we don’t currently have. Almost like that’s how the NFL works.
People that act like trading a ■■■■■■■ 2nd round pick is an “all in” move are part of the problem.
I dont think it was an all in Move. But your in a weird spot with JPJ, Laporta and BB who would all need extensions.
I think that was prolly the issue at the end of the day, not the price but that we have other players who need a payday.
Im kinda frustrated to though, this was a reasonable price (Espeically that technically a 2028 2nd is like the price of a 2027 3rd)
we will see how it plays out, Lions prolly still shopping for a corner but likely around our bye week or deadline trade most likely
Just one time this FO needs to take their eyes off 2029-2032 and focus on the now. They have put a decent core together. Then they just stopped shopping. All the while Goff keeps aging, Sewell, ARSB, Gibbs keep adding miles to their bodies. So, what? Holmes will finally be ready in 2029 to try to push this thing over the edge but our star players will be nearing the end of their line. Nope. The reality is that he will never try to push it over the edge. We will be 8-9 thru 10-7 every season from here on out. Decent, maybe even good a few seasons. But they are feeding themselves on the waitlist for tix. While the reality fans of this pathetic franchise wallow in despair and watch other teams that give a shit hoist the Lombardi. It’s disgusting. We are all lemmings being led off a cliff.
No they don’t!!!
How much does your team regress if you don’t pay a tight end and a safety who just tore his achillies big market money. You don’t have to pay every single one of your ■■■■■■■ players!!!
I’m still waiting for the Tigers to get a legit closer, and for the Pistons to get a legit second option. There’s always the future opportunity to make a move. We’re either not ready for it because the team isn’t good enough, or we don’t need it because the team is good enough, allegedly.
I’m so ■■■■■■■ sick and tired of this shit. “Cordalle Flott” or whoever the ■■■■ might be available at the deadline for a 4th round pick is not saving this defense. At this point now they’d be better off not trading for anyone and just saving their draft picks. The only thing worse than not trading for impact players is then going out and trading for non-impact players.
I needed to get this out of my system, and this is in no way personally directed at you @Blizer. This is just completely ridiculous. “Couldn’t beat a 2028 2nd round pick?” Get the ■■■■ out of here. What a pussy organization. I guess we need to spend that pick on another Ennis Rakestraw instead, who four years after that might be a decent NFL corner. Surely the entire rest of that roster will still be in tact and performing at a high level. We had that 2023/24 OL forever!!
You just never know what’s going to happen, but you do know that things you don’t expect will happen. “Well, doesn’t that mean we should keep our picks to fix those issues when they happen?” It means you should strike while the iron is ■■■■■■■ hot. That’s what it means.
The silver lining from Brad shitting the bed with the ‘24 draft class is that we dont “need” to sign anyone from that class and definitely not for top dollar. BBs injury probably lowers his deal. Laporta’s a little complicated unless he’s 100% back. Either way it seems like we could’ve given up slightly better picks and given JPJ an acceptable deal that doesnt hurt our plans for Laporta and BB. Fixing this one issue literally fixes our entire defense tremendously. We are legit contenders and not primed for another 1 and done playoff run. The more times we kick the can down the road with these issues the closer we get to our window slamming closed.
I’m going back on my “break” now, because I’m sure that post will piss some people off. I have more important shit to tend to anyways at the moment.
I’m clearly still too emotionally invested in seeing this team actually succeed, so I need to fix that issue with some time away.
I view this as a missed opportunity. I’m not going to harangue Brad for it or anything. We had a shot, and who knows what went down. We could have had this trade if Dallas doesn’t swoop in and make what sounds like a terrible deal (no extension???). Honestly, we could have made the same offer but the Steelers liked Dallas because they figure they’ll be drafting lower. So who knows. I thought we were going to land this one.
I dont blame you for being angry my guy this shit is frustrating for sure. Take some time to breathe and if you need to clear your head, ignore the forums for a lil bit.
do whats best for you in that regards.
If JPJ was ok with being traded without a deal then we shouldve made a trade like we did for Carlton Davis. ‘27 3rd.
