Blade runner was great. Bautista was really good in a limited role too. Man i have a thing for the hunter chick.

Loved the book and the movie was really well done. Pretty faithful to the book, Gosling was enjoyable, good depiction of Rocky and seeing it on an IMAX screen was a bonus.

Okay. I waited on this whole thread until finishing the movie. Read the book and enjoyed it. In truth I had concerns on how the movie would be adapted to screen. Overall I thought it was enjoyable. They dissed a lot of the mathematical detail and maybe glossed over how skilled Grace actually was. But they pulled it off. For those who enjoyed the movie, I think you would enjoy the book even more. It captures the despair of loneliness and conflict of fate, as well as the gravity (pun) of success/failure far more emotionally.

I’ll have to read the book. Found the movie enjoyable. Don’t want to give away any of the plot. I think they could’ve shortened it up just a bit. But I still think I like The Martian better.

I feel like a lot of movies these days are the Saturday morning B movies we used to watch growing up on USA or TNT.

He kind of plays the same character in most every movie.
His delivery is pretty consistent across films, but Ken was pretty different. First time we’d seen him play an adult man-baby.
And he was a terrible DB in Remember the Titans. His technique was shit.

Movie was pretty, darn good. The ending was a hoot. Haven’t read the book yet. Read the Martian, then saw the movie. Both a lot of fun, I thought. The guy has a knack for generating the terror of being an impossible distance from home.
The feeling of being alone and gone forever is terrifying and incredibly thought provoking at the same time.

I mean blade runner was a bit different.
I enjoy him as an actor.
But I’d love to see him play a real bad guy.
Did you see him in “Drive”? He was solid playing an anti-hero.
that’s one I haven’t seen, I’ll have to do that.
I saw this movie based on this review. It was a very good movie, but I think you did indeed go full hyperbolic. Never go full hyperbolic.
