UPDATE: The #RedWings have recalled Sebastian Cossa from the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins under emergency conditions.
Additionally, Detroit has assigned Erik Gustafsson to Grand Rapids.

If the injury to Gibson was serious they probably would have put him on IR. This is most likely just a day to day type of thing.

I was also reading that there were family considerations for wherever he went, as he has a child with special needs, that played into his decision of where he wanted to go. Could be that too. Or also, just wanted to win if he was getting moved.

Yea family probably played a roll. Michigan is good. But i think the Contender aspect was the first factor. Wings didnt pass that aspect so didnt even need to worry about the family aspect
