I mean that’s obvious…the NFL doesn’t have a farm system like the NHL does. That wasn’t really my point. My pointy is the importance of both respective positions to each sport. Goalie, like QB, is the most important position. But in the NHL you do have the luxury to develop goalies in the farm system, where as in the NFL you have no such luxury. You either get the QB right or you are set-back for at least two years. Hockey you have more alternatives.

MSU is finally a top 4 college hockey team, mostly because of Augustine. Not to mention every world tournament he plays in he’s one of the top players every time. What are you talking about?

He’s 22 and had a solid AHL campaign. Yzerman is a horrible GM so he probably would give up on one of his very few good picks.
Teams have no clue how to evaluate goalies and it is much more of a dice roll than with QBs. There is a reason why few goalies go in the first round now. Yes it is good business to draft a goalie almost every year and just hope for the best because NO one has a clue when it comes to drafting goalies.

Sounds like a sign and trade deal for Marner to Vegas
I’ve heard that’s only to stop the Leafs from filing tampering charges… Vegas has apparently been trying to court Marner through back channels for a year. Basically buying off Toronto with compensation for Marner

Im kinda of the Gibson wagon. Lucky at his stats last few years were pretty much awful. Wings still dont have a def.

Are you ever happy? How many games of his did you watch? Do you think stats of a goalie on a bottom feeder team should be the measuring stick? Or maybe it’d be better to watch the games to make a determination? He managed to be among the best for a long time with no help… He’s a huge upgrade… Accept it

The reason why thr wings goalies sucked is because they never get out of their own end. Sieder is the only top 4 goalie on the team. edvisson will probably get there this year. But then they have 4 bottom pair guys plus rookie Pelika.
