*** The Official We Need to Draft JSN Thread ***

The last Wazzu WR transfer we got worked out great (Tay Martin). Arland Bruce has apparently been the transfer who’s stood out the most in spring practice (@1CasanovaJack) but Talyn Shettron is the guy I’m really excited about. Built similarly to Stribling (6’3, 200), he was tearing up spring practice and the spring game until he left at the end with a foot injury (not supposed to be serious). He’s a true sophomore though so no draft hype yet. Might be one to watch for your college fantasy team though.

Stribling looks like he should be Dez Bryant. You see brief glimpses but he may just be a Tarzan/Jane type.

Look for him to be the next Charlie ■■■■■■■ Jones.

Yeah the thing about Dez - and Justin Blackmon smh - is they just played with such violence. They played WR with a fullback’s mentality once they got the ball in their hands. We haven’t really had a guy like that since (Tylan Wallace was close but just too slight).

No Bru McCoy? I thought you were one of his biggest fans.

I’ll take it!

McCoy, Adonai Mitchell, Jalen McMillan, etc. etc.

Too many to name.

Yeah it’s a great class. And one of the main reasons I’m fine only adding one this year. As long as that one is JSN. If not I’d be OK with none.

Yep. I’m split for the same reason. But I still want to add speed to stretch the field. If we split out Achane or even Mitchell to accomplish that from time to time for six weeks then so be it. But Mims in round 3 or Tre Palmer or Tyler Scott in round 5? Sure. Why not? Though I doubt in this draft they slide that far. I assume a whole lot of WRs are about to be overdrafted.

Someone like Charlie Jones on day 3 is interesting as well. He’s ready to go
go and I’d imagine he’d be open to helping as much on special teams as his frame allows for.

Folks are making the slot comment because he played there 90 percent of the time if I had to guess. I wanted to see the guy playing the X position and beating press man and zone coverage consistently. I’m not finding the tape. Can you provide?
So, when you say he’s more than a slot, It’s assumption because he rarely played the X position whenever he played.
Look I think he will be a decent player but nothing great.

Could you find the tape with Justin Jefferson?

JSN will be one of the 5-10 quickest guys in the league from day 1. He’s incredibly refined technically. He’s not going to have his career sidetracked by press coverage. Neither would Amon-Ra. It’s a non issue.

Plenty. Just have to look at 2018 when he played outside.

Not sure why Jefferson is relevant. Even if he was a slot only guy (he wasn’t) he is a unicorn. While they have similar builds, Jefferson is faster with better reach and hands.

And he still dropped into the 20s.

I’m a fan of Michael Wilson. He’s a baller like Amon Ra! Factor in his leadership skills (captain), toughness, smarts etc. I would not be shocked if he ends up here. Here’s everything Holmes and Campbell epitomize

He looks nice, idk anything about the kid

Im stuck on these Tenn WR day 2

Which was a massive mistake.

If people want to die on the slot only hill with JSN that is their prerogative. He’s going to be an awesome pro. That may of course end up being out of the slot depending on where he goes but personally I have zero concern about him getting open wherever he’s aligned. His contested catch rates are outstanding and he ran 6 one hundredths slower slower than Jefferson. So as to your assertion that it’s irrelevant I beg to differ.

Also, Jefferson doesn’t have JSN level quickness. IMm by no means saying Jefferson is my comp, I’m just saying that personally I don’t need to see elite outside WR production to feel a guy can succeed on the outside.

He nice! Holmes loves Pac 10 players. Wilson has size, speed (4.6), toughness, and leadership skills. He’ll block too. I love the kid

which is why he’ll get drafted in 5rd rd. But assuming he’s healthy, he’ll be a good get
