*** The Official We Need to Draft JSN Thread ***

The perfect landing spot for JSN would be at #12 Houston.

Stroud #2
JSN #12

Buckeye teammates back together in Houston.

I’d be happy to see JSN in a Lions uniform this fall, but getting paired up with Stroud would be a best case scenario for the young WR.

Except he has many, many connections in the league.

Jim Nagy…. former NFL scout and Senior Bowl “CEO”…. disagrees….
so who are those insiders you reference???

His position coach… a former NFL player….
and 2 picks from the top 11 selections in last year’s draft….
all have stated JSN is better than both of them.

He might be….

Yep they was saying Jeff okudah was the best db ever at osu, osu position coach stated this

so who are the “insiders” you referenced that don’t like JSN as much???

I never said they didn’t like him.

Draft network has q Johnston #1. They are ex scouts take it for what isn’t worth

Sewell and Levi didn’t play in 2020……
He ones drafted them with his 1st 2 picks as GM.

.

Why is Nagy irrelevant… but any draft site credible?

the only reason JSN isn’t considered a top five pick and WR 1 easy is because of the lingering injury this past season.

Dudes metrics and production pre injury are generational

If we went WR in the first, hands down he’s the one Id prefer

The problem with your perspective is that Quentin Johnston isn’t really all that great at the game of football whereas Jaxon is.

I only want Quentin Johnston if they convert him to a CB because that’s what you do with WRs who can’t catch

Down to 11. Draft JSN at 11 and Marvin Mims in round 3. Make Jamo earn it.

I am right there with you. I think it is important to have WR depth this season. Only thing is, when Jamo comes back we would have

St Brown
Jamo
JSN
Jones
Mims
Raymond
Reynolds.

Would have to keep 7 WRs or get rid of Reynolds.

What is Q Johnston’s drop rate for catchable balls?

PFF has him at 11.8% for 2022. It’s a combination of focus drops and the fact that he catches with his body. I want no part of QJ.

That’s unfortunate, if you can’t catch with consistency in college odds are pretty good the same will hold true in the NFL

Me neither unless it’s round 3 or later.

It seemed like there were some rumblings about JSN over-playing his injury and “sitting out” of games last year.
Does this raise any concerns with anyone here?
What’s the word around the OSU campus on JSN’s work ethic and maturity?..I’m looking at you @HSVLion if you’ve heard or read anything.
Is JSN a diva or a dog?

Dude there are too many jsn theeads already

Anything you heard about JSN “overplaying” his injury was the typical predraft crap trying to lower his stock because someone lower down the board knows how good he is and wants him.

I still don’t know the full story because it’s been kept pretty confidential, but my best understanding of the situation is that Ryan Day tried to rush him back the first time. There was no reason he should’ve been playing with a hamstring strain two weeks out against Toledo. That was just stupid. The week after should’ve been the first time he playerd if he was ready and even if he missed that game we would’ve been fine.

Day thought he needed his best weapon to be able to look good for the committee I guess. I also think he didn’t know how good MHJ was going to be until he started making plays later in the season.

Is JSN a diva? No. He’s not. Does he catch 202 balls every day on the jugs machine like a certain someone? I mean it wouldn’t surprise me, but there’s no great publicity about his outstanding work ethic like there is with Amon-Ra, Marvin, or someone like Devonta Smith. He doesn’t not work on his game.
