That goes for ALL of us!

That goes for ALL of us!

If you need to read a lot on back of a package probably shouldnāt eat it.
So the interwebs seem to suggest the issue is mostly due to supply side.
As we will all love. It seems the USA has relied on a high level of imports for beef? This seems insane but that is one of the suggestions. But for sure they are strong on the assertion that the supply side is the major issue and the causes are numberous.
The list is numerous; Feed cost, labor cost, transportation cost, fuel / equipment costs, Tyson closing down a meat processing plant in Nebraska, drought, greed, more greed. I donāt think corporate or government greed is going to stop until most of the nation is bled dry.
The 600,000+ burned acres in Nebraska will probably help bump the prices up a wee bit more too. Has anyone really heard anything about the wildfires in Nebraska on the news?
We donāt have serious people in charge. They are far removed from the realities on the ground, starting with farmers. They make millions every day creating no value for regular people. They do not care. Itās like an 80s cocaine party in Miami. Going to be a helluva hangover.
It makes me sad knowing my meat has an expiration date.
Yes, you can. Before Nebraska was the Cornhuskers they were the Bugeaters. āBugeatersā was the primary nickname for the University of Nebraska football team during the 1890s before they became the Cornhuskers in 1900.
Been throwing this idea around the last year or soā¦ā¦.makes a lot of sense.
something I did not know, but now i can tease my nebraska buddies about it.
81/19 for $3/lb at Meijer last weekend. Stock up sale.
Just did a big ol batch of masturbating bull last night. Lots of pepper and sour cream. Instead of egg noodles it was hoisin and red wine beef ramen noodles as the starch. Elevated broke college student vibe
Iām in Florida. I think that is probably a major part of it. Coastal FL so even worse. I have a BJs and Costco membership and especially BJs I can find ground beef at like $4.99 80/20 which is better. Canāt always make it out though on weeknights so settling sucks if I havenāt planned sometimes. One of the biggest culture shocks moving down here was the grocery prices. Iād say they are a good 20-25% above Michigan overall. Although Iāve been down here a long time. Iāve long thought it was because Publix cornered the market so well, but Iām not sure that is it anymore. The meat I spoke of earlier was actually Walmart although I draw the line at their tubes of beef which are a little cheaper.
I eat red meat once a week. I try to eat more chicken and fish. Had flounder last night.
LOOOOOVE IT BROTHER. Love it.
lot of chicken for me.
We use the seasoning over at zenders in Frankenmuth
Gonna do a Boston Butt this weekend. $1.99/lb.
Just checked Kroger - $5.99 / (80/20). Eighteen months ago it was $3.79
Just paid $0.99 / lb for cabbage. FOR CABBAGE!!!
