Fun fact cabbage is practically immortal. I tend to buy 8-12 heads at the end of Fall for like 4 for a $1 and then keep them in garage.
The do not seem to ever rot. The do not seem to want to freeze. They are kind of magical.
And they are quite delicious with corned beef.
Beans are a great source of protein and fiber and are shelf stable

We eat a ton of chicken. But chicken is so versatile. I can have chicken enchiladas, fried chicken, chicken Caesar salad, and rotisserie and forget I ate chicken four days straight
One thing that amazes me too is if beef isnât on sale and Iâm paying full cargo, there is that moment when I look at the steak on sale and Iâm like well shit the steak is only $2 more a pound or whatever.
Oh we get to roasted chicken at Costco here and there and make individual chicken pot pie. With potatoes, pees, and carrots.

I just bought a pound of filet mignon for 20 bucks. Im winning at life. Going to be a nice day tomorrow so the grill is coming out
I get my crust from Aldiâs, under $2 on sale right now. Pillsbury is like $5 but I like their recipe.

What about the price of pork though!?
I remember 2-3 years ago you could get baby back ribs for 1.99 a pound, now good luck finding under 3.00 a lb.

BEEF STROKINâOFF!!!

Made pork tenderloin with pineapple and peppers the other night. Tenderloin was 1 1/2 pounds at $2.99 a pound, pineapple was $1.97, peppers around $1.50., around $8.50 with the teriyaki sauce. The pork was really good and the pineapple was super sweet, good stuff and plenty for 3 people.
I have some pork loin brining overnight. Will cook Sous vide at 145 F and reverse sear.
Dinner was amazing. 6 Oz filet mignon , scalloped potatoes, mushrooms, and carrots.
