Forgive someone! this song has helped me a lot. @DeadDog I think you’d like this song. ![]()
The rehearsal session with a band that large? Gotta be time consuming and sweaty.
You can’t overstate how many peeps covered or were influenced by Holly. Everyone from British invasion dudes, to country artists, Everly Brothers, Santana, and on and on…
Just think how powerful he would have been if he had not died so young.
I booked Tab with an Australian named Dave Hole who opened, then they jammed for about 45 minutes after Tab finished. Unknown to me they had toured Australia together in the past, great show. Paul Thorn with my old room mate playing bass, great song.
This was a song from the Nordic Fire Fest
Definitley being added to my list of music when i go workout
When i need some cheer up music i put some Petty on. Reminds me when i was a young feller
I owned this album. (Phil Keagy)
My favorite musician: (as in 45+ albums collected) is…….

Some background, he’s an IOWA boy and he played with a guy named Dave Zollo on a CD that I co-produced, “The Iowa Blue’s Compilation” Vol 1. He produced that song and album you posted with fellow musician Bo Ramsey, who is around Greg’s age and married Greg’s daughter. Pieta. Eventually divorced but everyone is playing nice. Here’s one of her songs…
I will check this out as soon as I’m in a place where I can hear… Loud bar burger joint right now (Came to meet friends that I haven’t seen in a very long time, and they went to the wrong location…my fault, for sure).
Thanks for the story/background. I’ve seen Greg in concert (with Claudia Schmidt from the UP, who was also very good).
Not sure if this is a “normal” uplifting song but I like and it’s a track used on Smallville as well!!
He and Bo used to do shows together and were out in the Seattle area when I was out there a couple years ago. Pieta has a sweet voice and is a great talent, have not looked into what she’s up to lately. Bo actually played with Lucinda Williams for some time but literally would get homesick from being on the road.
