I saw them in concert in Detroit back in the day when they were at their peak. Was a great show. I met Aaron Lewis after the show outside his tour bus. He was so short I was shocked but was a nice dude.

Thats great. I like Dwight a lot. I like his show on Sirius. He has a lot of great guests on. His guitarist Pete Anderson was also his arranger and producer on his albums for like 20 years.
He’s a musical stud.

That guitar he is holding is one of his signature guitars he has through Reverend, which is now based in Ohio however originated with Joe Naylor in Eastpointe MI at Joe’s Music, I’m pretty sure..
Reverend make very good guitars for reasonable prices!

I have heard of Reverend but I dont know much about them. Looking at their web site, his series looks a lot ike a Tele.

Yep that’s the other one, or actually the main one - the Pete Anderson eastsider which is just a telecaster. However I think they have a push pull pot where you can put the pickups out of phase which is kinda cool. They are basically a telecaster with mods already done for you. They are cool! Fender has been going up in price a lot lately too so if I was gonna drop a grand on a new guitar I would probably go with one of these over an actual fender, more bang for your buck in my opinion.
That one in the picture is the PA-1 which was more in the Gretsch style. However it looks like it’s discontinued now. Here was a write up on it though.

One of the very best Gen X records. Brings back so many memories. Just in between the rock radio type music and new wave. They opened a door, and holy crap a shit ton of bands walked through.

Elliot Easton is in my top 10 for guitarists. He was the master of the catchy guitar riff and hook in the middle of a song. For example, at the 1:43 mark here, he absolutely catches fire and rips it with taste. Power pop style.
Flavors of Steve Stevens in these effects and sounds.

I saw the Mavericks about 6 years ago. Funny how they now have the ex lead guitarist from Dwight’s band, Eddie Perez. I guess Eddie and Dwight had a falling out at one point.
Ratt is my favorite out of that bunch.
Enjoy checking them out! They have a lot of different models, and a little off the beaten path (aside from the telecasters) but they are really solid guitars, good to go out of the box and fun to play. Some models also have a bass contour knob.
Not sure where you are located but Rock City Music in Livonia is the main MI hub, although lots of other places have them too.

In life, its often advantageous to look back in retrospsect and think about stances, values, and beliefs that we all held, and then honestly ask ones selve, what was I right about, what was I wrong about, where did I get my information, how did I forge my conclusions, and what could I have done better or improved on. While we all make mistakes, I feel I can hold my track record up to and with, just about anyone. I got some things wrong, but I predicted and held a lot more postions correctly, than I did incorrectly. If one keeps getting things wrong, its probably worth while to think about recalibrating. That includes the 20 to 30 years on these boards.
