What music have you been listening to lately?

Look forward to hearing what you think of them!

Good deal. We will report. I rely on my sons feedback more than my input. I am just a chord strummer. He can play lead and rythm and has a much stronger musical education and back ground than I do. I had a 70’s Strat that I handed down to him, and he also owns and plays a Schecter and Ibanez.

I wish Janes Addiction did a studio version of it but I don’t believe that they ever did. I had this version on a B side when I was like 17 but it was even worse sound quality.

I hate them. Reminds me of an old girlfriend.

That is awesome.

You should be an angel investor in Space-Ex. The succubi aren’t going to reach escape velocity on their own.

As a Maiden fan, calling them a hair band makes me cringe. British metal I would call them. Their first album with Paul Di’Angelo even had a little punk to it.

This is one of the best hair band albums IMO.

I remember when going to shows in Detroit actually was dangerous.

Detroit on a Saturday night was a trip. Total ghostown apart from a few places. Any club you went to was a frisk.

We ended up not going today. My son went and got his hair cut then we hunkered down to watch the Tigers. Tomorrow is the new goal.

Sounds good!

By no means do I need another guitar, but I played one of the Pete Anderson eastsider Es couple months back, which is the Esquire style, and that was the strongest temptation I’ve had in a long time! It was a lot of fun.

Anyway, glad you and your son will check em out, have fun!

Couple of tracks from a friend of mine his bands he is in besides being the current guitarist of Taproot

So i was thinking while making a playlist.

I listen to Metalcore, Alternative, Metal almost exclusively… (think 2004-2017 Warped Tour Bands)

There has been almost no new major bands since that time. Say 2015 to today. Virtually none! While the few i can name, most of them are new bands from a band that disbanded (Bilmuri from Attack Attack or Spirit Box from IWrestledABearOnce)

Like is it just because its so easy now with ProTools to pump out an album and put it on spotify, and all the major tours and festivals are either dead or too expensive?

But even on the softer side like alternative, pop punk, or even hard rock. Nothing.

Rap is almost running into the same thing, a point late last year, no rap songs in the top 100.

Like EVERYTHING is pop and country now
