Nuno Bettencourt is/was really underrated as a guitar player. I remember watching Bill and Ted’s in the theatre when I was 9 and thinking I need to find out who was playing guitar in that montage.

Went to the Ionia Freak Fair last night
Simply put this man is so damn talented and he loves the area so much
He was selling shirts that were Ionia Bulldog themed and all the proceeds are going to the Ionia Schools.
He played this last night and it is my favorite and it is so beautiful to hear live

I liked Ratt but it seems their lesser known songs weren’t nearly as good as some of the bands I’ve been listening to lately.
But Ratts top songs are awesome.
Great White, Dokken, Helix, April Wine, all had lesser known songs that I really enjoy.

I didn’t call them a hair band.
I said “I’ve been digging up a lot of 80’s lesser known but great hard rock / Hair bands” …..this was meant to give you a range of the types of bands I was listening to. Not to classify any one band.
Then I listed some hard rock, hair bands and bands that fell in between.
I think most people would classify Maiden as a Hard Rock or Heavy Metal band. More metal if you ask me.
That post wasn’t one category it was a range of band types but I think people get caught up in labels.
Are they punk or funk.
Are they progressive rock, new wave, heavy metal, acid rock, hard rock, soft rock… blah blah?
Point is I’m reliving my college days where rock and roll was loud and powerful.
