There is no question in my mind that Holmes/Campbell properly informed all the rookies what the rules are. It is most likely Williams was bored and really didn’t pay any attention to what was being said. A lack of maturity? Absolutely. But he is unlikely to blow off the training again because this is costing him real money.
Yes it is partially their responsibility. They choose the guys. They set the standard.
That said, the players also hold responsibilities.
Holmes and Campbell can’t possibly prevent every single infraction that occurs. It’s all about how they respond and what message they are sending to reinforce better moving forward. Curious to see if they can leverage this into a learning experience. I think they can.
I know it doesn’t matter at this point, but I’m curious:
How does one get caught gambling at the facility?
Doesn’t know how to use Caesar’s app
I believe the reports are the Lions themselves were the ones to call the investigation in on the issue, so i do think the FO got ahead of the curb on this, and were likely prepared for this news
still, truth is there, it is on Brad and Dan to a degree, but also the people who ■■■■■■ up are adults and should know better than to it, espically in team facilities.
Maybe JSN just moved up our draft chart.
D: You can’t monitor every thing an adult does. Sometimes adults need to take responsibility for their own actions.
Dan and Brad get a pass from me
I see this too, man.
Still wondering which coaches got cut & what this looks like after the appeal that is coming. One of the Detroit papers said the players will be appealing & attempting to get reduced punishments.
I wanted JSN
not like this though and for these reasons
So this is what Brad knew from his press conference yesterday. When he said, he was just here yesterday. Explains the demeanor, quick to move off the subject and not much to say.
Probably cowboys too.
Does this officially make the Detroit Lions…

??
Well at least we now know that Williams was spending time at the facility, so we can put those rumors to rest.
Alright who are the type 5 wideouts in the draft, do any of them have character concerns
God damn it I’m so pissed
Lma ■■■■■■■ o
We need a whole discussion on Jamo.
There have been questions about him through last season and the offseason concerning his behavior. And, frankly, from what I recall, he transferred out of Ohio State on perhaps not the best of terms?
This is trending in a bad direction.
If they do draft JSN and turns out as good as I think he will be…
that is one possible silver lining to a really choice.
On the other hand… I’m not sure a 6-game suspension changes the draft plan….. but drafting JSN may speak more about the confidence (lack of) they have in Jamo for the long term.
They are the worst infractors man. Those cats are the ones rigging the games.
