Just draft Quan Martin he steps in that role…backup SS and NB,
2024 stater most likely
This kinda dumb.
Honestly, this is complete and total crap. It’s ok for Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft to own the Casino, DraftKings, but it’s not ok for players to go in. It’s F’ing hypocrisy

I think it is going to make them really think hard about adding a rookie with legal issues to the roster. If Carter was in consideration I bet he no longer is
One thousand percent. WR is a top 3 roster need once again
I know the NFL is guilty of a lot of hypocracy… but the rules about gambling for players and coaches have to be strict… especially now that it is legal…to keep the integrity of the outcomes legit. Players and coaches all know this, and the league is telling them… just don’t gamble on sports. Its a lot easier to just don’t do it. This shows how immature these guys are. I don’t care that Jamo is getting suspended because of a technicality. Hes an idiot. And considering Ben Johnson, Dan Cambell and Holmes have all talked about his slow recovery, his effort, his “urgency”, etc… Then williams had his tirade… now he gets suspended… hes looking like he doesn’t have the maturity to make it as a professional.
There’s a thread for that …
In light of Jamo events, you’re crazy if you don’t think we need a WR in round 1. Let’s go …
I kept pushing aside my uneasiness about Jamo and some of his antics, seems like my gut feelings are coming to fruition. Dumbass!

So many of us has a gut about this guy. How the Lions draft will clue us into whether they do.
This is also a bad draft for x recievers… Im really hoping we don’t reach on a guy like Quentin Johnson… Maybe we just get some solid insurance later like an AT Perry
This could be a HUGE blessing in disguise for the Lions. Now he has to perform for his money
That is the silver lining you’re right
they are not disputing the allegation.
.
But in that statement they say he was NOT betting on football. So what was he betting on? ALL betting is illegal? A reasonable assumption could be “I (Jamo)was betting on a basketball game and I thought the rule was just that I couldn’t bet on football.”
My point is why not try to have it reduced and bring light into the fact it WAS NOT football.
Who cares if the NFL promotes gambling?
Bars promote drinking alcohol, that doesn’t mean you want your bartenders ■■■■■■■ smashed while on the clock.
Where’s the NFLPA???..Seems the Union might get involved…And get this suspension cut to fewer games ???..Just thinking…- GOALPOST
This is absolutely going to happen. Hope the result is a reduced suspension.
I think the bigger issue is that this is clearly an organization failure. Multiple employees were fired, multiple players have been suspended, multiple players have been cut - this is not just on Jamo. This is a major black eye for the organization
they say he was NOT betting on football
They didn’t say that, but rather that his football betting wasn’t the reason for the suspension
They implied that he was betting football
yeah this is bad… and I highly doubt he gets his suspension reduced. These are very explicit strict rules that he broke. No gray area
When everyone kept asking MCDC if our culture could absorb a problem child without being effected too much, Dan’s response was, yeah, one… maybe two. I always felt like we already had one on the team… and now he’s sure proving it to be true

I would strongly disagree with that. WR was in play long before this news. Only legitimate WR’s on this roster in 2024 are Jamo and St. Brown. Jones, Raymond, and Reynolds are all currently FA’s. I could see Raymond returning, but I doubt the rest do.
WR was in play as early as 6 with JSN (although much more likely in a trade down).

Agree. It’s such a weird argument and poor deflection strategy. Holding Jerry Jones up as a whatsboutism is seldom a good idea.
